Harry McKay is also out of contract this year if my memory serves me correctly. We should be doing everything to re-unite the brothers at North. Imagine that.
Next year, him and his brother at the same time:

Word on the street is we might even have more $$$ to play with in coming years as well. With the AFL will look to amend/adjust list sizes and the salary cap and soft cap to pre-covid levels. Clubs are pushing for it.

Obviously a bit to play out there but it's all in relation to the broadcast deal and AFL income getting back to pre-covid levels.

How does this bloke get any air time at all? Has the personality of a sponge.
Hence why the put Adam Cooney as an alternative, if he doesn't work:

Has he done much Media stuff in SA?

Needs to slim down to get his movability back, honestly thank * Clarko is here because he gave Hodgy Podgy the same advice and he turned his career around.
Ziebell and McDonald need to hit the running hard over the summer. I still believe that Luke can be a very good player (I think most would consider him a "good" player) IF he can slim down and become a tagger/defensive winger. With Logue and Clarke (possibly) coming in, Luke's role as an interceptor in defence is reduced and his role as a distributor out of the back half will be as well.

After four years, we may finally have the key position cattle to begin playing our mediums in the right roles. But all this comes down to how hard the older guys are willing to train and how much of a hunger they still have to make it.

Bowes is owed 850k, Cats are favourites to land him - Edmund
Sources confirmed it's possible because Jeremy Cameron and Isaac Smith are each paying Geelong $400,000 per year for the privilege of playing for the Cats.

McDonalds an interesting one, I believe Scott wasted his career down back, we were desperate for a defensive minded mid after Jacobs injury. It stood out in that area of the ground we needed someone of a reasonable size, who’s first instinct was to nullify the opposition.
Also gone are the days where you can play a full time tagger, so someone who can hurt you the other way, who is still capable of working with all mids.
I thought Luke was that man.

I firmly believe it's time to make player salaries public as a way to protect the integrity of the salary cap and is transparent. Unfortunately transparency is not in the AFL's dictionary so probably will never happen

With the utmost respect to Jack, I think the time to pass the mantle to Jy is now. Big changes in all directions at the club. Surely someone has told him how awkward it is that the selection committee (may be) umming and ahhing over the form of the captain.

While we know that Jack is the consummate competitor, I think having the Captaincy in someone else's hands is a huge load off and he can focus on getting his game right.

My head, a posible salary dump for the premiers, only in the afl.

Such a great system. The Premier gets a player who may or may not make it, plus Pick 7, likely to be a future gun to replace some of their aging list in a year or two. I fully understand that the Cats situation in getting this player/pick is very different to ours, but they won 21 games this year and we won 2. We get a future 2nd and 3rd rounder to try to help us get off the bottom, but have to trade them this year or we lose them. How can we really compete against this system?
