Thw y played him forward because he was awful as a key defender.Honestly think he could be a low risk high reward option. Has had personal issues being away from home and god only knows why they played him as a forward.

The question is more whether it should be allowed to happen - renegotiating a contract mid contract. If you give him an extra two years on 300k I doubt he says no.
He'll have gone from playing in the VFL to a guaranteed 4 years on an AFL list.
He's still getting his 1.7 million dollars owed to him plus another 600k on top.
I'll be surprised if whoever gets him doesn't do this to be honest. He'll end up on close 600k a year.
Good, apparently Windy and co too.Read today on Twitter from a Saints supporter that Jack Bytel has been seen doing laps at Moorabbin. Or should we call it RSEA Park? All the boys off on holidays and he’s grinding it out.
Make of that what you will.
I’d certainly be getting the forensic accountants in…the AFL, not so much.Geelong favourites to snag
- Bruhn , Henry, Bowes, McKenna and pick 7 after winning the premiership by 80 points … WTF surely the afl can’t let all that happen.
I really hope so. We invested quite a bit in him. Took him injured. Be a waste otherwise. Forget us, I hope he’s doing it for himself.Good, apparently Windy and co too.
Maybe the entire team was read the riot act at their exit interviews.
Come back fit or else. Then they can spend the pre-season on skills and game plan rather than fitness.
Hoping Bytel stays and shows us what he’s got next season.

Still overseas doing 10oz bicep curlsIs Clark out there? He probably doesn't know where the Linton St gym is.

Was everyone’s.We seriously should get Lenny to give Bowes a call.
Was his childhood hero.

Must be weird. Like are people meeting him because they actually want him to play for the team, or just because they want to convince him to come to their team so they can get pick 7.
Feel like there could be quite odd vibes.

For years I have thought to myself we need a Joel Selwood type player. Haven’t necessarily been a fan as an opposition supporter….ducking etc. But always thought I’d love it if he played for us.Good, apparently Windy and co too.

any of our players mates with him from under 18s or something? Can't see Bowes coming to us. Salary is set regardless of where he goes... so why would he choose us?
Can't see it.

So I wondered when we were getting our Joel Selwood. Think we might have him now. Windy. If he’s out there leading the way with preseason training early and others are following….. older guys. Well that is just great.
He would go some way to match Selwood in terms of achieving and that’s not really going to happen. But we need someone to naturally lead by way of example. All very encouraging.
Oops I done *ed it up. I did mean keep 9 as you can tell by my suggested picks.
Let me do that again.
Bytel to Norf for a future priority pick.
Long, & Norfs future 2nd to GC for Bowes, 7 & 25.
Draft the best mid at 7 (whoever slides out of McKenzie/Phillipou), Elijah Hewett at 9, Oli Hotton a chance to slide to 25, and Charlie Clarke at 28.

Those steins are heavier than any weight he’s ever picked upStill overseas doing 10oz bicep curls
We have more than a few area's to improve in - one is toughen up , the other is don't go missing for most of the game and a lot of our senior players do that. There's a million areas of the club that we can improve without JDG.
We could start with when defenders are switching the ball 35 metres across defence it doesn't bounce before reaching the recipient.
And carry on from there. Start sheparding for the ball carrier. Talking to the ball carrier. Not picking when to two-way run. Etc.
Was a saints fan growing up and parents were big supports IIRCany of our players mates with him from under 18s or something?
You know how many young defenders start out as good players. Very fewThw y played him forward because he was awful as a key defender.
