McCrae

Did anybody tip them to back up last year and most likely become minor premiers? I sure didn’t.

McRae must be thrilled he got his new contract done before the wheels fell off.

Don't worry Pies fans I'm sure Brendan Bolton can fix things. Was great for us.

Good thing Bolton's now in a suitable role as an Assistant Coach, and not as the main man.

I think McRae has proven he's got what it takes in his 22 months in the role.

After all, Collingwood supporters were all reliably informed after 2021 that we were in for a Carlton like decade of mediocrity in the bottom four.

2024 is "after 2021". Huge % of your guys on the wrong side of 30.

How about we stop with the parochial pot shots and actually talk about the coaches?

I'd go Hinkley > Kingsley > McRae.

I don't think Voss qualifies given the Blues were playing putrid footy for two months and looked completely lost. If we're picking 'turnaround of the year', then it's Voss @ #1.

Josh Carr for Assistant Coach of the year surely?

Tend to agree with this. Full credit to he and his players for turning it around - amazing effort - but in the context of an overall season award, you can’t help but think ‘how ordinary was his coaching if this group of players couldn’t buy a win for two months of the season.’
