I would be batting Green at 3 and get rid of Marnus. The Aussies are doing a great job of destroying Greens career.
He is a top all batsman not a number 6-7. Everything has gone downhill since they have tried to make him something he is not.
Granted he has not performed as he should but he deserves the 3-6 years of chances we afford all others.
Get him up the order and leave him there for a long period.

Lyon has a very ordinary 50 over record anyway. Personally it’s Kuhermann we need a left arm spinner. Murphy is an option wouldn’t be against it just feel we have that in Maxwell

Bancroft is pretty meh, honestly he’d be better than Harris at test level purely as he can catch but as a ODI what’s the point? If we were looking elsewhere it would be Short and he’d actually be handy as he’d give a bowling option

Test selection I would have Renshaw at the moment,Harris has had like most of the Victorians a pretty poor start this season in the shield so far.

This is why I rate smith higher than marnus. They’re both probably equally adept at the slow and steady game but smith just has those gears to go up. Not as natural for him as other aggressive batsmen but his talent is enough to make up for it.

Marnus looks like he really really has to go to an effort to play the aggressive scoring style
