Do you have a link to the article? I can't find anything on Google or the AFL website. Not doubting you, just trying to find the article you referenced.
From the article below:

"For instance, it would have allowed Adelaide to list one of Rory Sloane or Taylor Walker as a veteran for 2024 and opened up another spot on their primary list. The idea was designed to keep veterans in the game without sacrificing a list spot that a youngster may have taken, with the veteran’s full payments still counted in the salary cap."

There's a link in the post above

Unfortunately North Melbourne will be a lot better next year because they just delisted Kayne Turner, Aidan Bonar and Jack Mahony

Whatever we do, the Crows MUST NOT pick up any of these three players
Will be interesting to see who takes the mantle from Turner as ‘worst AFL player who plays one’s most weeks’

Think deal on the night like the carlton deal. If there is a player they really want at one of our picks, we trade that pick and doa swap of 2024 1sts
I could see that, but who would they be that keen on? Because on a surface level, that feels like unders for them (unless they expect us to only be a few spots higher than them on the ladder next year). Maybe O'Sullivan if he drops to 10? Tholstrup and DeMattia could also interest them.

No sure - Tholstrup?. WA Lad projected to be around our pick 14?

I was going to say either Xavier O'Neill or Luke Foley from West Coast but it turns out both have been delisted

Anthony Scott from the Western Bulldogs? Jed McEntee from Port Adelaide?

I wonder who's the worst player on an AFL list now?

Lachie Jones is worse imo.
Port still win the worst player.:drunk:

The lowest-rated players on an AFL list, at a 64 overall, are Fremantle category B rookie Conrad Williams, Port Adelaide’s Kyle Marshall (the last pick in the 2022 draft) and Thomas Scully (taken seven picks earlier), and Richmond’s Tom Brown (a 2021 first-round pick).

The ratings were formulated by developers Big Ant Studios after some initial statistical input from Champion Data.

Revealed: Every player's overall rating in new video game AFL 23

Who is Kyle Marshall?

How is he even rated as can't even recall him playing.

Todd's alias on a bad goal kicking day...

Claimed with the final pick of the 2022 NAB AFL Draft, Kyle Marshall is a tall defender with plenty of natural tools. Very athletic for his height, he is noted for his speed, vertical leap and running capacity. He was one of the best performers in the South Australian Draft Combine in his draft year, finishing in the top five in five out of the six tests.

With a long reach and impressive closing speed, Marshall played 15 games in the backline for South Australia’s under 18s in 2022, averaging 13 disposals and four marks. His agility and good ball use is a clear indication that he has elite athletic potential for a player of his size. He developed strongly in Port Adelaide's SANFL side in 2023, and under the leadership of fellow defenders Aliir Aliir, Trent McKenzie and Esava Ratugolea at training, Marshall will look to develop his game and continue to improve.

I presume it was based on the data of his SANFL form?

EDIT

Notice that they included Esava in this write up, so its a recent edit, lol.

Geez, they should have played him ahead of an injured McKenzie in the final if half decent.

Far out. The number of people that close accounts and open another one.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s just me and one other person who has 80 different accounts that post to this board.

A bigfooty version of The Truman Show
I'd just like to make it clear that I didn't voluntarily close my last account

Should rename him Lazarus

The only delisted players that I think get picked up are Bramble and Mathieson.

He's still a big tall gangly kis growing into his body, quite a good athlete too, be stupid to write him off this early
Who is writing him off?

I just never had heard of him.
