Mod notice after Mr Bob did a lot of annoying work in moving days of posts out of here. As we are heading into offseason, this thread is for 2023 list management only. Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

Still can't for the life of me understand how a guy who's played 80 games in 8 years gets pick 3 as a compo.
clearly hoping that the twin ruse will be over and he plays like he does at carlton

Doesnt count unless they are on the list

Tim Gossage and Scott Cummings pushing Fremantle to trade Will Brodie to West Coast.
Gossage never fails to be an idiot

As Darcy seems a lock to stay, it’s time for a new stupid hypothetical given Crows supporters think they have a shot at him. IF and I say IF Cox said he’s thinking about heading back, if you can guarantee Curtin, do you pull the trigger?

With Hamling and co in the back pocket? I would.

Sam Taylor as a free agent in a couple years too.

Just get someone else as backup depth.

I know Cox.
I don't know Curtin.
So... no.

Firstly, what do you think happens when Tabs doesnt have the ball? Secondly, an important part of being a depth player is being available...
Underrated comment. 100%
Can, but then he is a free agent every time he is out of contract and can leverage that in negotiations. Better to just trade for him.
I honestly think it doesn’t matter. If ut really comes to that that he would threaten to leave unless we pay overs, off he goes, at least we didn’t spend any picks on him. I doubt it would come to that anyway.

Why do the Eagles need Will Brodie when they already have the next Chris Judd playing for them.

I wouldn’t even trade Cox if it meant we got the first five picks of the draft.

But being serious, I think for a contracted Cox, with key defenders in high demand I would want a top 5 pick AND a teens/early 20s pick at the very least.

Yep. kid plays league at Claremont now, and all it’s not unusual for KPP’s start in the backline - where the ball comes to them following a forward.
Curtin is an unbelievable talent- someone else said it also - a Pavlich type that can play in a few positions- but taller.

If he's as good as reported, yes.
I don't know who Curtin is. But I assume people were saying similar things about Denver Grainger-Barras at one point and look at him now.

Curtin is doing more at league level already then DGB ever has. Should look him up, worth watching the Claremont final from the weekend to see him and how he plays

So if the Eagles take Harley Reid, who likely takes Curtin?
Probably North with the McKay compo after Reid/Walter/McKercher.

But could slide down to as far as #8, depending on where Duursma, Watson, Reed, O'Sullivan and Sanders land.

6 marks and 20 disposals against Peel in Round 18….
Really good against the feral East Perth turds last week.
I’m looking forward to this Sundays game against Subi in the deckchair derby.
He is and will be a gun.
