So it should be. WTF are we doing here?

I'd understand if we were playing a powerhouse AFL team this week, or we had a foot in the door to finals. Neither of those things are true.
Too much sense.. but but we must blindly have faith in the clubs decisions on some mind boggling selection decisions

paddy dow possible concussion in the last 10 seconds of the game........

Well Dow has knocked himself out.

So he won’t be playing next week whatever the discussion.

He has been fantastic. He knows the coaching staff won't play him, yet he is just turning up every week (2 years now) and is making a statement.
The complete club should be embarrassed by this and I wish the guy all the best. I have no doubt the excuses by the club apologists will be ready. but for me it's important we sign-up and play others who put in such huge empowering efforts every week!!
We have a kid close to his prime hitting his straps finally, and we’ve again screwed the pooch.

And Dow has seemingly concussed himself with 6 seconds to go in the game.

He'll miss a week now.

Anyway we win, let them score a late goal to deny us a chance at a hundred point win.

Ed is in as a tagger pure and simple, along with his running power.
Against the Hawks? No. He's in as that weird half forward role he's played more often than tagging this season. Where he can't involve himself in the link play, isn't fast enough to cover opposing rebounding half backs and only kicks to Charlie.

I hope for Vosses sake Ed has a cracking game and we win.If the opposite transpires the comparisons will made on every footy show next week it won’t be pretty. It’s almost like the safer option would be to play Dow and he stars happy days or doesn’t told you so see why we didn’t play him.

Same 4 as at 3/4 time the standouts, but Dow probably overtaken by Binns as our best - Paddy seemed to be under a tag that last quarter. Either of those two (subject to the last second head clash) Carroll or Motlop could justify a senior recall next week.
Loving the pressure for spots.

I actually think dow is fighting for a spot against Kennedy and George at the moment. Ed’s been playing HHF or as a tagger…

Where Paddy has become elite is the timing of his push on an opponent at clearances. Most stoppages today he had an opponent facing him with arms out yet he manages to release himself at the perfect moment to shark a hit out.
I doesn’t matter what level. That is elite.

Still charging in. When 80 points up in the last seconds of the game. Hope that final collision hasn’t done too much damage.

Lot of faces in the ressies thread this week...more than usual.
Definitely glad they got to see a good win.............
First time I've ever seen Carlton with the luxury of being able to develop young first and second year players together and starting to see them develop a winning culture together - that is what builds a Club up to sustainable relevance in the competition.

For his age dow showing more than a lambert did -- he will be useful for another side next year .. I don't worry his previous shortcomings as can see his progression - his disposal and composure ball in hand is totally opposite to past years I and his ground coverage is Eqaul to our other mids outside of Walsh -- it's a real credit to his commitment to the task ahead of him .. whether he plays AFL for us or not isn't my worry as I'm a supporter not a selector but wherever he ends up I will be happy to see him do well he has earned my respect ..

Did Dow shank a kick a while back and hit Voss' dog or something?

The lad isn't banging the door down. He's taking a wrecking ball to it.

Its a long way from being the bullants and having half a reserves list...and a long way from being forced to play the young guys way too soon.
