in fairness Curtis had the second year blues, got I'll and didn't really fire until mid-seasonish. Even then, it wasn't until late that he started getting busy.
 
I think there’s limited value in extrapolating how well first and second year players performed from those numbers.

What I do find interesting is the massive divergence between those averages and the BF consensus on how highly Mahony and Turner ranked, compared to how lowly Logue featured.

I mean, sure, it’s a small sample size for Mahony, but even still, who would’ve rated the glimpses we saw of him higher than Logue?

I would also say that I think the votes are representative of 'did they play the role we asked them to play' Supporters often don't know/understand what players have been asked to do, which is often a lot of things you wouldn't notice on a first watch of a game/could never see on a TV screen.

I also think there is a bit of relatively to expectations of the player in the voting. I think some of the younger players get a easier run in the Syd Barker because they outperform what is expected of them.
