How bloody good was that 96 team, brings a tear to the eye reading through it!

AND I forgot to mention....EVERY SINGLE player in that team could hit the scoreboard......even Flossy at CHB !!! From memory Martyn was a full forward who kicked 100 in the U19. Remember Sholl played all his career on a back flank, then switched to full forward when Longmire got injured, Carey I think actually was originally recruited to play CHB. Longmire played in the back line as a youngster under Kanga. King would regularly kick goals from the back line, Schwasss would bomb long running goals. Archer would play either end of the ground. Now Clarko played under Kennedy and left what in 95? Daresay those were pretty formative years for him in his coaching thinking. Players who can run and carry, play mulitple positions, and hit the scoreboard.

We have the opportunity with our promising youngsters and this year's draft picks to hopefully get there again because I'm sick of us being shit.

It's really hard to convince young kids to support our great club when we are in this position. My 6 year old had AFL day at he's school on Grand Final week and didn't see one other kid wearing North Melbourne gear. The majority were wearing Essendon, Carlton and Collingwood.

Another key defender at a minimum would be nice.
We've lost 2-3 staples in our backline.
Toby pink alone isn't going to cut it.
Maybe a ruckman too.
Small forward or key stuck in the state league looking for a chance.

I think we will draft one also, maybe 2 if you count Ethan Phillips, who we are rumored to be interested in.
