I know Paddy Dow has a burst of speed, but what's his general pace and his tank like?
If his poor disposal is insurmountable would he be suited to a tagger role?

Prefer not to trade for Dow & Jordan, they've had enough season's to prove themselves, just like a few of our lads that haven't.
Liam Henry is the correct one. Was pick 7 & is very talented. He probably had too much expectation & exposure on him over in the West. At 22 y.o, he's ready to perform.
Dow will be a third rounder, agree about Jordon

Dunno, bit of Aaron Fiora about him IMO.
Huh, Paddy is good in and under....if Fiora was close to in and under he got the hell out.
Paddy is a poor disposer. Fiora actually had a pretty good boot on him.

What about Zac Fisher? I’ve seen some really good games from him, on the outer now.

Wouldn't have to trade for Jordon as he is a free agent.

Dow would likely be a 3rd or even 4th round pick so very little.

Plenty of players have gone on to have very handy careers after not being able to fully prove themselves at age 22 or 23.

Can't see either making a huge difference but it makes sense to go after these types.

If Coff comes back any chance Stocker gets a go in the midfield - or is that wishful thinking?
He’s tough as and was initially drafted as a mid wasn’t he? I’d like to see him get a go at least to have a look.
I think he'd be good in there if given a chance. He's tough and uses the ball well, and we definitely need cleaner skills going through the centre. I think I recall someone that knows way more than I do, that his tank isn't at the level.
That's what preseason's are for though. If he wants it, no reason not to go for it. There are positions available.

On Bont, he was a half back flank.

???
The draft profiles back then had Bont as a mid, and a very good one at that.

Though not as early as our pick.
If we drafted a HBF this year and SOS told us he was going to turn into a midfielder.....MELT MELT MELT .
As above Bont was not a HBF your analogy is not relevant.

Though yes I do not want to hear to draft HBFers to try and make them mids this year.

Unfortunately our first pick in the draft currently looks to not be where a mid will be. In which case I hope we stick to draft the best available player, unless we are only a pick or two off a rated mid.

AFL headquarters would be celebrating with that. They love the northern clubs.
Believe me, they’d be salivating over a Collingwood / Carlton GF.
I mean, just think of the $$$

Cooper Sharman is highly regarded around the league, and at the Saints. General consensus is he will breakout next season and be a 50+ goal a season type.

Billing’s is definitely gone, lots of clubs interested - with good reason too, I think he’d be a good pick up for any decent side. I think he’ll end up at the Crows.

That’s interesting RE Billings. I think he is more chance of playing AFL with us than the Crows. Rankine, Rachelle, Keays, McHenry, Soligo and Luke Pedlar are all handy small forward/Half Forward options.

Good to hear they have high hopes for Sharman. His pressure and work rate are what impressed me most about him this year. We all new he had the flash in his game.

It's probably been spoken of elsewhere here but I haven't stumbled across it. To think we went through the Richo years with Kingsley waiting in the wings. Okay, he had to learn the ropes but to think he was at the club for 8 years seems like a wasted resource now. Could've got the gig instead of Ratts.
I remember someone saying that Kingsley wouldn't have taken the job if offered. He knew exactly what we were.
He seems a smart enough operator. Stayed with St.Kilda to learn how NOT to do things in a shitty set up, and then went to Richmond, surrounded by good coaches and a great system. He's well rounded, also helps he has a team of high end talent to execute his gameplay.
He timed his run well did Kingsley.

Pretty sure he won the “Assistant of the year” award when he was with us?
