South players free everywhere still..

Godden does nothing.

Its almost like south has 4 more players out on the ground.

They easily run it from their defense to their goal unhindered.
Godden isnt there. Wright is coaching. Godden will only coach when the afl team are playing in Adelaide and doesnt clash with AFL match. Even then Wright will do most of it.

It would be peak Adelaide to use an 18yo, 197cm rebounding defender who also also midfield in the WAFL as a full back....

He needs to learn how to defend or he will be destroyed at AFL level. Seems we're playing him where he will learn that the fastest. He already knows how to rebound.

Dowling very good. Nankervis going okay as well. Also liked the look of Ryan. The rest have been pretty average.

Cook frustrating because you can see he has the talent and skill but just doesn't work hard enough.

Curtin plays his best footy when he's around the ball not when he's deep in defence one on one.
Watching him last year when he played in the midfield he looked a bigger version of Jordan Dawson.

Cook is covering the ground really well in the wing role, definitely working hard enough. Seen him everywhere from deep forward to deep defense.

The issue is he gets none of the ball because he plays a very outside role and in the SANFL we don't have the skills to utilize that sort of player. We are playing very straight and direct, not changing lanes or finding better avenues inside 50

I'd have Dowling in the AFL side currently, in place of Jones or Sholl on a wing, roll him through the middle if we stray from the three mid path. Nank has had some poor turnovers but clearly a better option than Smith. Liked some of Murrays work. Welsh may not be a current day tall forward but geez he's quick unlike lard ass Fog. No idea why we re rookied Hamill.

Overall it still amazes that week in week out a bunch of part time footballers have better skills than our AFL listed players, wtf do we do at training?

Edwards has done a couple of decent things too.

Trained all pre season as a forward and immediately thrown out the window when matches start

I honestly think cook is one of those players that will play better at a higher level as he demonstrated in the one game he played against Melbourne last year.
