Your fairy tale was about his long term career and ongoing issues and nothing about his current recovery and timeframe

Sorry. I bet you got all excited and everything.

The entire point made by the rep who works with these surgeons is that it was a bad one. But yeah, this new recovery timeframe doesn’t back that up at all. I give up.

They would have known it was a bad one 3 weeks ago

Or is your thought process that just because you posted it on here, the club had to update the injury report?

My thought process is that I reported what I was told. I’m telling you the god honest truth. A rep (who works with all of the reputable knee surgeons in Adelaide) said that his knee is a bad one, with potential long term consequences, based on his conversations with one particular surgeon. And clearly that has been backed up by his mid-term recovery timeline. Not sure what else to say to you to be honest. It’s not my style to wake up on a Saturday morning and make something like that up. It’s weird. Really weird. What’s even weirder is jumping to the conclusion that anyone would make something like that up. What purpose does it serve? Instead, take my word for it. IT HAPPENED. Let’s hope Thilly didn’t have long term issues. I don’t want it to be true either.

Not sure you can go thru a career and not have long term issues

Rep said the way the meniscus was attached (based on the equipment used) is clear evidence it was at the bad end of the scale. With higher risk of instability/pain etc post recovery, especially for big, heavy players who run and jump. His ability to absorb impact will be a concern. He said an ACL would have been a better result. His words. This is because, unlike an ACL, you can regain original strength and stability. Where as meniscus tears like this become degenerative. The bone on bone scenario.

We spoke about it at length, over pizza, pre game. (Sunny pizza is so darn good).

Well I think we are going to have to hope for the best

Murray back by June
Thilthorpe back by July
Schoenberg in May

Please nor more injuries between now and them so we can go into the second half of the year with a full list.

Thilthorpe was at training today doing static handball drill

Sloane was at training doing lots of work and looks to be nearing a return when passed to play by the specialist

Harry working hard but he looked like he was struggling with his running today. This year is not going to be an easy one for him

Curtin looked to have a limp going and this has been the case since he returned from his injured knee. It appears to have affected his form confidence and movement around the ground. I hope he’s not doing long term damage to his knee
