I saw a stat today that Bailey has the fourth most goals for us since 2020 after Charlie, Joe and Eric. Never understood the calls to trade him.

It's all talk. The talk of the town has been that we had a key forward free agent on the hook for the end of 2025.
When I scrolled through the list of FA’s I could only find Fogarty and Allen.
Given Fogarty has re signed…was it him and he’s had a change of mind?
If it’s Allen, I am very surprised given he’s co-captain.
Any thoughts on who we had (or still have) in our sights?
If that talk has any truth to it you’d think it’s likely Lewis given it is very, very unlikely Allen would leave WC.The talk of the town has been that we had a key forward free agent on the hook for the end of 2025.

The thing is we are still in the premiership window and have list spot issues this year.A 19 yo is never this year, but 203 cm forward is always worth another look.

That’s the one. He missed a number of games with injury in that time as well

Usual re-hash article with Rayner and Starcevich from Lions listed as potential players who are available.
I think Starce will stay, but Rayner could get some serious offers if he goes up another level in consistency again in 2025.
He is an A grade forward at his best. You don’t trade out very good players for slight upgrades IMO. A good way to kill your culture for minimal improvementsI would absolutely trade him for an a grade key forward, but outside of that it would be pointless.
We need to get Browny to the club and have a real talk with Eric he immediately improved Ben King for the Suns let’s get him to the club he actually lovesRe our forward structure post Joe- I have a lot of belief in stewie Dew. He is a hell smart footballer and I trust he can help find a way for the forwards to still dominate.
My only concerns is our forwards depth. Rely hope Eric gets his problems sorted in this single off season.

An announcement is imminent on what happens with the Lions’ quartet of uncontracted players, but Joyce will continue in 2025.
Brisbane Lions List Changes For 2025
Defender Jaxon Prior has been informed he will not be offered a contract for 2025.
The club has also advised mid-season draftee Darcy Craven and defender Darragh Joyce of its intention to re-select them through the rookie draft for the 2025 season.
Nothing has been announced or hinted at that he is. Even in articles describing our list over the past month, he's been painted as OOC.Can only assume he's contracted?
So 6 list spots available?
Hopefully we can assist Prior finding a new club if there is interest there for him.
you expect him to get a spot somewhere next year..I think we already did. His 3 late season games showed what he’s capable of and put him in recent memory.
Beyond that he’s now a DFA and can be picked up by anyone - now it’s his managers time to earn their money. Of course if anyone calls i’m sure Danny will put in a good word for him.
Climbing to the top of the mountain with your mates is a strong motivation. Once you reach it, money talks for some. The motivation the club should be expressing to the lads is - we know we are good but how good do you think we can be - lets stick together and find out.
