It's why I take every bigfooty post regarding a rumour, apart from one or two very specific posters, with a "bullshit unless proven otherwise" approach

I'm all for moderators handing out dunce badges for anybody who gets a rumor completely wrong, including made up ones. Their name shall forever be tarnished.
