hey guys,is S.Berry close for round 1?if not what cab off the rank is he if a best 22 isnt available,or judging by many of your comments,if the love for sloane drops off a bit at club level opening up his spot?

noticed his stats in 2022,tackling machine,was disappointed to see him on the outer in 2023

Too early to tell but he’s back in the pecking order. Schoenbergs injury helps.

Needs to improve his kicking and handball. Competing with Crouch and Sloane.

Gee.. atleast hes gradually hitting the scoreboard more each year I suppose!

Thats an utterly deplorable return.

He provides the least amount of forward pressure when compared with guys like rankine, keays, mcadam (whos no longer there) rachele and pedlar..

He, for a senior player, goes MIA for quarters, even whole games, at a time.

Its all just smoke and mirror bs that his fan club like to spin to explain their love for the bloke.

His limitations extend to every facet of his game.

I would swap him for McCreery in a fxxkn heartbeat..

Wonder if we will use Laird back more given the loss of Doedee's experience, which would allow the likes of Berry in thr middle.

We have far too many better options… milera, smith, jones, hinge, MM, nank… for that half back role than Rory “to the moon and back” Laird now..

Laird either plays in the centre or he plays SANFL.

Crouch is the same.. he either plays in the middle or plays nowhere in the AFL 22..

None of this bodes well for Berry as he either replaces Laird or Crouch.. or he doesnt play.

And we know Laird and Crouch will be picked ahead of him all year regardless of the form of these two veteran lads..

Not if you rotate Pedlar, Rachele, Keays and even Rankine, Jones for some bursts in there. The problem with Crouch is that defensively he gets run off. I wouldn't mind Hinge given some midfield minutes as well to see how that looks.

Hinge is my breakout player for 2024. Especially if he isn't anchored in a KPD role which given our summer injection of taller defenders, shouldn't happen.
