Just about everybody in the media that I've heard is trying to push us to just accept Pick 7 (likely 12) straight up for Petracca lol.

Hird is the only one I've heard that's said 'Pick 7 and a player'.

Just keep him if that's the case.

Considering Gold Coast traded pick 6 (ended up 7) and 23 for Dan Rioli only last year, in what was considered a strong draft compared to this weaker one. Pick 7 shouldn’t be close.

Yeah I'm all for keeping him if this is what we potentially end up with. Media are weird. Maybe it's because we are a minnow club that we just shoukld accept a lowball offer. No way a Collingwood or Hawthorn accept that deal.

Lamb said as much in the interview that they'd been working with him for a while to find the right contract for him. But the writing was on the wall when he put talks off a couple of months back.

100% get that vibe as well. Lamb actually seeemed pis$$ed at him tbh. But again, if a player hasn't signed for so long, you'd think a plan would have been in place. Poor list management.

He probably did attempt to have a plan in place but if there is opposition players out there refusing to at least entertain an offer then thats on the club as a whole for the creating such a toxic culture.

The scrubs we have brought in over the last couple of years havent exactly thrived in this environment.

Its a tough one. Could go either way. No doubt we're pushing the Humphrey thing. But I can see us accepting 2 firsts which isnt a horrible result. Rather Humphrey but I think the club is probably sold on moving Trac and Clarry and to get what we can.

It basically values Petracca and Flanders at the same value. Which is just wrong.
