Tim LAMB going cold on our boy Derksen is a ****ing disgrace.

Oliver, Trac, McVee who cares - BRING WADE HOME
Wayne*

C'mon man

Last year, when his behaviour and performance were worse, Geelong offered up a first.

Now with him on a reduced contract, us chipping in half and coming off a better year, I don’t think we need to completely fold here. We owe GWS no favors after them dicking around on us with Derksen last year.

Worse case sit on it until the last minute of trade period.

You can. but no way Lamb/Richo can survive this mess anyone that had any level of sight on this needs to go.

Don't disagree that those guys should be under pressure, not sure I blame Lamb for the Oliver/Trac stuff though. Certainly would be sacking him if we get a bad return for Trac though.

This is classic mich0 being completely unrealistic about a trade setting up a massive meltdown after trade week when we get a future 3rd for Oliver.

Oliver has actually been well behaved since last year, other than a dinky interview who realistically who gives a shit if he said he likes Pies more than Melbourne.

In reality his performance and behaviour was better in 2025 than it was in 2024.

We also didn’t push him out, we asked him to be open to playing other roles, or he is going to play VFL to work on some areas. Don’t think we have categorically told him to look around

(At best maybe we said we are open to it if he wants to drive it).
Who are you trying to convince? :tearsofjoy: This isnt the draft and trading board mate.

Oh boy, Mark Robinson is a special guest on TR at the moment and after being out of the industry for a while, he's even more batshit than he used to be lol.

Excerpts?
Was screaming (at least, very loudly shouting on the verge of tears) about the emoji Bailey Smith used for Caroline Wilson being one of the worst things a footballer has ever done. Besides that, just lots of rambling and bitterness about being dumped by 360. Sounds a step slower than he was, too.

It’s going to be weird if we don’t get a good enough offer and retain Trac.

On the one hand, we gave him the go ahead to fly around the place talking to teams and he’s nominated one. And no doubt he and his wife are exploring places where they might like to live and getting enthusiastic and all. So turning around and saying no, you’re staying put might not go down so well and he might be well pissed off.

On the other hand, he might be disappointed not to have the trade go through, but be okay with it to some extent because the team has been shaken up, there is a new coach with new plans and Oliver has been removed.

Not sure how this will go really. Though it’s starting to look like more than one player won’t get their trade wish this year, and it feels as though that might happen even more in the future so maybe it will work out okay.

I would be very surprised if Trac comes back. Almost certain we'll end up settling for picks in the end (and maybe a player like Rogers or Davies).

Rocked up on Sky after Dark a few weeks back just to rip into Bailey Smith lol.

I couldn’t stand 360 with Robbo on it, but many liked it.

I think he was dumped by Foxtel because of his health as much as anything else. Between the heart surgery break, the various dental surgery absences and all the other times absent without clear explanations, I expect Fox Footy decided they wanted better value and reliability. They’re a ruthless organisation. They don’t seem to object to controversial characters, and god knows they have some full nutcases on their books, but unreliability doesn’t seem like something they would tolerate for long.

Yeah I agree. It’s not going to happen. Which means we are going to have to back down on our stance of “an offer that turns our heads” a bit

cmon Mich0. i'm always a fan of your work but your take on Oliver has been way off.

You're saying we tell a 4 time bbf winner, that we may banish him to the vfl, and we'll pay him $3 million to play somewhere else and that's not forcing him out? that's the very definition of being forced out.

'playing other roles'? Since when do guys like Tom Green, Rowell, Josh Dunkley, Butters, Ashcrofts, Libba, Noah anderson etc. play other roles? It's just code for 'get the hell out'.

But you know this. Surely. I'll back you in to say that there is a bigger reason why you're in public denial about this.

Who would he be disappointed with though?
Gold Coast would see themselves as a premiership threat with a fit and firing Petracca.

There's a price on that.

Yeah his health issues got worse and worse over the years. I do get the feeling Whateley just got sick of him and Lyon was more than happy to **** over a bloke he didn't like anyway.

The show is even more boring without him though. He needs to do a podcast.
