I suppose we would have to be, but the first rounder would have to be top 5I'd be happy enough with Bergman plus a first rounder if it comes to a trade.

Seriously? That's way way unders. That would be us getting royally screwed. I seriously hope the club don't roll over like that.I'd be happy enough with Bergman plus a first rounder if it comes to a trade.
Remember Philipou is also from SA and he has no problem with signing on early and was never home sick. (Nas was rumoured to be home sick from the very start, only huge effort from Wood/Hill made him settle better). So, it's horses for courses. Each person is different, but in general, the going home pull can be strong if money/chance of success all taken into account.I didnt say any of that should or will happen but how do you reckon anyone would take us demanding Adelaide send over a South Australian born player who is 19 and just finished his first season in compensation for a player wanting to go home?
Throw out all the hypothetical trades you like but putting SA born players into the mix to come to us as part of that is utter stupidity.

If we trade that's what is going to happen.Seriously? That's way way unders. That would be us getting royally screwed.
I think it's more Port and Crows to prove to the saints that they can get a fair trade done. Don't rule out Crows as well, they wouldn't have offered a big contract to Nas if only passing interest. My guess is Nas wants to get to Port but they’ve told him they’re not sure how they’re going to do it.
1. They don’t have the assets without giving some up which is robbing Peter to pay Paul. They have to give up Butters at a minimum who I’d say has indicated no desire to leave
2. How much does it affect the team and salary cap paying 1 player $2m a year
3. Nas has said he won’t leave the saints through the draft and burn them
Until Port can prove to Williams they can get a fair deal done then I don’t think we’ll hear anything
Not sure what relevance this has to us demanding Adelaide send over an SA native in a trade deal?Remember Philipou is also from SA and he has no problem with signing on early and was never home sick. What makes you think he’s pushing port?
Don't believe so, you can still sign & say the finer details need to be thrashed out & put an end to the speculation.Could also be a possibility its on our end with FA coming in working out the yearly breakdowns.
Don't know ?
Id say its my floor.Seriously? That's way way unders. That would be us getting royally screwed. I seriously hope the club don't roll over like that.
a Future 1st from Port along with Bergman and the pick they trade Butters with.Seriously? That's way way unders. That would be us getting royally screwed. I seriously hope the club don't roll over like that.
You want everything they get for Butters and Bergman and their current future first.a Future 1st from Port along with Bergman and the pick they trade Butters with.
If they want to get a star with no assets, make em suffer.
Lose Butters,Bergman and a F1
Williams needs that extension on his mansionI still think he's staying.
Think Williams has said you've been killing it so let's just keep going and we'll see what your price is at season's end.
Money, money, money.
EitherYou want everything they get for Butters and Bergman and their current future first.
See id say thats just ridiculously unreasonable.
No club ever takes players who don't want to play there and it won't happen here
Then the club gets nothing for him. Why do it?
My guess is Nas wants to get to Port but they’ve told him they’re not sure how they’re going to do it.

Guessing, same as every other post in this threadGuessing or fact ?
Max has to get on the park first , i think anyone banking on him making the difference is wishful thinking the way he has been the last 3 years
No 2 pleaseEither
1. Bergman + future first + Berry (with something going back to even up the trade)
or
2. Butters + Berry (with something going back to even up the trade)
If he wants to sign, he would have signed already. If the issue is money, he should back himself in getting a bigger pay packet 2 years down the track. Holding the club for ransom over a small incremental (club already offered $1.4 a year which is no small amount) is really bad form.My guess is that he has alluded that he’d be open to playing in Adelaide. Not that he’d prefer to. pros and cons, people contain multitudes and it just feels like he’d be way more checked out with the club if he didn’t want to be here.
Maybe he signs for 2 years, and by the end of those 2 years the picture becomes clearer re: pros and cons on staying here at the end of 2027. I think that’s the most likely scenario, and is also the path of least resistance.
For us or them? You want everything they get for Butters and Bergman and their current future first.
