Darling and Mihocek will both be 33 at the start of next season. What is the point of Mihocek apart from him stalling the development of a young key forward? Surely that is in our immediate plans.

If we land a stopping KPB, then Whitlock is developed as a forward. He is currently at least 10kgs away from having any impact at AFL level, however.

Sure, Trembath (a speculative MSD) has had a wonderful first three games, but it would be stupidity beyond words to rely completely on him for forward structure (with Larkey) moving forward.

The club would be banking on Darling and Mihocek giving 18-24 months development for Whitlock while he bulks up.

I would hope also that we bring another talented forward as well.

If Essendon are willing to let him go despite constant injury concerns to McKay and Reid, that in itself should scream alarm bells. Leaves them with Blakiston and Hayes (who recently done his ACL) as their key defender depth.

He is beyond shit, and has a terrible FIGJAM attitude.
