Pretty clear the AFL and networks would be pretty stocked if we are competing. This is the advantage of drawing large crowds and ratings and importantly, having a much better relationship with the AFL.
I was just thinking the same thing that our club must have put in some serious hard yards at repairing their relationship with the AFL to get this kind of result!

We do play a great brand of footy as well and that always helps (imagine us trying to get a draw this good in Clarkos last 3 years playing that boring drudge we were dishing up at the time).

You do know half the ground (including the centre wing) is now a construction site, right?

The capacity next year is 9,000 not 18,000 to 20,000 as past years. The reduction makes UTAS the smallest ground to feature more than 3 games since the Gabba in the early 90’s. Not a great look for the third largest drawing club (last year).
I did not know that, but now I do. 👍

I thought it was slated to be done in 2027, my bad.

Pretty horrendous fixture when you've got young kids! There's **** all games I can take my son to.
One of tha paradoxes of the struggling teams that get banished to the Sunday arvo games is that these timeslots are actually a lot better for families.

Still on balance I prefer the ability to watch the Hawks at home on my 75 inch TV with my girls on Thursday and Friday nights.

The relatively cheap price of the bigger OLEDs is the one thing that makes footy bearable for those who jobs take them overseas. I won't say anything about the AFL not really making great use of 4k, but the 75-83 inch and up screens sure beat the 48cm screens sold for around the same price (relative to now) in the mid 90s.

It's always warmer at home, but you just can't beat being there.

Absence definitely makes the heart grow fonder too. Will have to settle for a softer draw this year while the young mids are coming through.

The other way around.

AFL trying to repair its relationship with Hawthorn, now that Mclaughlin & other Hawthorn haters have gone.
