I used to love the International Rules games when I was a kid but couldn't care less now. It's a different sport. The players don't care either.

It was OK when they used to punch on but then the Irish whined about getting beaten up so that got stopped.

Whine on is a bit harsh, as amateur athletes they don't have the financial safety net that our players did and do when injured. A season ending injury might be one night's spectacle to us, but could well mean financial hardship for them and their family

I've been lucky/unlucky enough to coach against him, he's a ripping fella. Very welcoming, super invested in local footy.

Word had it down there macca had the boys kicking skills improved out of sight in only a few weeks - no more loopy kicks but hard stab passes were the order of the day and he coached that into them very early on. We knew a few boys that were coached by him 6 or 7 years back now

I want the return of SoO simply to regain the ability to buy state guernseys again, after ~30 years. As far as I always knew you've never been able to buy a state guernsey. Always thought it was something that had to be earned (which is why in part the shitstorm in 2014 happened)
