Training (Arden Street Oval)Anyone know if we are training tomorrow morning and what time at Arden Street?
Thanks
Good Point, perhaps we can expect to see Banch come on much quicker having a more mature body, played in successful VFL team, and been in North's system for a while now. Be interesting to see how Kako come on this season. I suspect Watson may have the highest ceiling though, but get the feeling Dov might not be far behind. Seems like a competitive kid who'd probably be driven by the competition for spots and to be better than Watson.A lot of chatter has been we should have taken Watson over Duursma, and that's now changed to "thank goodness we took Dovaston, he can be our Watson". I think people need to remember that it wasn't until the last third of 2024 before Watson actually hit his straps.
Kids take time, even small forwards where their differential attributes (speed and agility) are already close to their peak. It won't be the worst thing if he gets some experience in the VFL to start the year.

Time for some LT love...
I remember going to watch training at Arden St. one day, and he crumbed a loose ball and in the blink of an eye slammed it through for a goal from outside 50 on a 45 degree angle. He was amazing.Yep.
Underrated - one of the best small forwards this century imo. Humble, hard at it and copped so much crap and abuse.
Kicking a footy barefoot is good for learning how to kick properly imo but it can go wrong very easily. He stepped two opposition players as well that day didn't he, before he kicked the goal? In socks! Elite player.

Was very good. Miss those days when we won games of footySuperstar
The way he was treated by commentators was shameful. Hyperbole when he hurt someone/could be accused of ducking, ‘blah’ when he was brilliant. The indifference of the commentary on those goals is only surpassed by Harper’s length of the ground goal against Richmond at the G.
Commetti the main offender.
Compare it with how Rioli was commentated and it’s jarring.
54 from memory?LT was taken at pick 50 odd, a Nifty Nev special.

Who was in charge of recruiting then?54 from memory?
And not a single person has been suspended for a high tackle since his ban.The way he was treated by commentators was shameful. Hyperbole when he hurt someone/could be accused of ducking, ‘blah’ when he was brilliant.

Laughable.
