No match sim, keeping all the secrets of our new game plans in the bag for now.
Lots of players have left the track early
Disappointing as no match sim last week

Would’ve thought we double up this week

Players I didn’t spot this session: LDU, river, Bailey Scott and Konstanty

Yep no match sim, a little disappointed.

Lots of pressure drills, in close checking with handball work trying to get out of trouble looks to me, some are very good and others need to work on their delivery by hand and foot.
It’s a nice day to go and watch whatever they were doing.

Generally, over the last 3 years, they’ve pretty much always done match sim the last session of the week.

Not sure if there is training Friday. If there is, I’d be 99% sure match sim will be Friday.

If Wednesday is the last session of the week due to training on a public holiday today, I’d be 75% confident match sim will be Wednesday

Anyone know who the african player is?
Seen him down at training a few times.
Looks fit, just needs to find a role.
Sees himself chasing the player too much

Has Dovaston been Norfed already? Is scuppering talent what our club excels at?
I dont know if he got hit in the nuts, a groin issue or hip thing, but he was pointing to that region trying to shake something off.
Saw him get tackled/involved in one of the contract drills and might have come off second best

Jesus Christ are people really putting question marks on a kid who is probably less than 40 full training sessions into their career?

Dovaston will be a player, nothing surer.

Just to be clear, I’m not writing him off. I just enjoyed watching Parker showing what he’s still got. In that same drill Wardlaw nailed Simpkin when Simpkin tried to step him.

My takeaways from going today:

1. Leaving to one side the new draftees, the young guys now look like AFL players.

2. They are all clearly invested - lots of voice. Really liked seeing the encouragement from everyone.

3. The drills look more targeted to address issues that we have had in the past, such as transition. And lots of one-on-one coaching in between drills.

And they are such nice bunch of guys to the supporters, especially the junior ones like my son.

i’m not writing him off at all, i was as happy as anyone when we got him, i just haven’t seen much from him so far
Again. I think you've given more than enough time to make this judgement and we appreciate your honesty. Time to pack his bags and move him on at years end..I'd take a 4th round pick for him.
