Looks like CCJ and Goater are playing this second half
Pretty much everyone playing then? Other than Corr and spargo? And obviously archer

Any vfl listed playing? The bullants recruits? Dow? Hugh Byrne?

How’s big game Zane been?

My concerns re Dawson are agility, reaction speed and general football ie vision etc.

Haven't seen enough to form a firm opinion but the 1st 2 factors are still my early watches.
I wouldn't be that agile either if I was 8'6. The fact that someone Dawson's height only qualifies as a SF in basketball today doesn't sit quite right with me

4th period done.

Sheezel looked a little sore at the end but played it out.

Wardlaw fan laps for it.

X took a nice pack mark in the square for a goal.
Duurs got bulldozed and got a free. He is moving very well.

CCJ and Goater out now kicking it around after

Usual suspects are looking good.

3rd period done.

Matlock and Dov kicked one each for orange. Duurs took a couple of nice marks on the wing.

Mikunda was part of a nice chain that resulted in a Curtis goal.

Xerri clearly the best ruck but Goad doing afew nice things. Bath went to the ruck for good parts of that period I feel.
There's a 'gave him a bath' joke in here somewhere

Comben attempting to murder Banch running with the flight, or Banch needing more self preservation. Take your pick I guess.

Reaction to incoming ball is slower than the other Dawson.

And he was horrid.

Fisher been very lively imo , CCJ took Goad to the cleaners that quarter
Got to agree. Thought Trembath showed some nouse as well as relief ruck. Took it up to X using his leap and reach. Smart player.

Still not convinced Logue has turned the corner, but he is covering ground much better. Definitely fitter but doesn’t show enough hunger for a guy that has barely run on field for 2 years. Pink & Comben hate losing contests even at this level.

Been some butchering of the ball but the movement has been slick af at times , Colby looks special . Going at 100 mph & wants to take game on at every possession … just needs to tidy up some of his kicks .
The name that comes to mind for us (obviously a different level) is Aaron Hall.

Instructed to take the game on and take the tough kicks. Does mean you're going to miss a few when running flat chat, so gotta accept it'll happen.

It'll happen a hell of a lot less with Colby and he'll figure out how to limit those as he keeps developing.

Fisher looked good in the sessions I’ve been too also

Very agile and provides pace

Fisher is probably the most frustrating player on the list (alone with Logue), they both have quite natural football talent and solid footy IQ, but just don't regularly step up when required.

these guys are ready to rip shit up this year:

Larkey
Sheezel
McKercher
LDU
FOS

Would have Hardeman not far off this either, was clinical early.

X looked active around the ground.
Curtis looks great considering his off season health stuff.

Dovaston got involved today in quite a bit which was good to see.

Still a bit to work out with the backline but it did feel tighter. Less exposure without a contest out the back under this setup (although didn’t necessarily translate to winning more 1v1’s). Whenever Comben can peel - which he does aggressively once the ball isn’t to his man - we look more dangerous.
