How many wickets down and runs left until they put the cue in the rack? As someone said above, if they want to chase it down the blowtorch is well and truly applied to Hussey.

They'll just keep re-assing it as the day goes on. The pitch doesn't seem to be playing to badly at the moment, and if the Aussies just play each ball on it's merit, then it could be quite an exciting final session.

If it is a nail-biter, I really hope channel 9 do the right thing by us Eastern States viewers, and stick with the cricket.

They did with that test against India at Sydney last year. I remember Healy making a joke saying that Eastern State viewers would go to the news and everyone here on BF went nuts until they realized.

remember this is test cricket, you can curb the run rate by putting everyone on the boundary, or bowl a foot outside off stump, if you dont want the other team to get quick runs.

i remembered us doing that against new zealand a few summers ago when the asking rate was not out of the question

Tend to agree, although it we have plenty of wickets in hand approaching tea, we might have a crack at the target in the final session.

I can't see us winning this test. Benn is bowling well and going after him will be very risky. He'll pretty much bowl all day, so I think we're looking at a draw.

Just watching the Cricket Show now makes me think how much I'd love Phil Jaques to be back in the side. He was unlucky with that back injury and after that time out was pretty much thrown to the bottom of the pile after Watson, Hughes and co.

I can just tell what is going to happen. Ponting and Watson will put on a relatively good and quick partnership. Then the two will get out at the same sort of time and Clarke and Hussey will put on an incredibly slow partnership, destroying what chance we have of winning the game. Watch it happen!

I agree mate, Jaques is extremely underrated, did nothing wrong at all.
