We still have (not as strong, but it's still there) the aura that we can make magic happen and win the unwinnable games; the Windies would rather a draw than risk a loss.

That magic will always be there - it's because as a race we are brought up to thrive on competitiveness; save for the occasional mentally weak player, we'll always believe we can win from difficult positions. This one is still on. We can make history here.

Should be a good run chase. Australia will no doubt give it a crack, especially if they get off to a good start.

That total should also give the Windies a chance of winning as the batsmen will need to be aggressive & take a few risks to keep up with the required run rate.

read the west indies second innings scorecard

the pitch is obviously hard to bat on. nobody other than gayle got over 30, and the west indies run rate of 3 an over in 100 overs is an indication that it wasnt a fast scoring pitch either

a certain degree of care and responsibility has to exercised by the australian batsman to not foolishly lose this match. we could so easily get bowled out for 200 here going for the runs

Why is it that forums are always full of negative thinkers?

They do have a weaker batting line up than us, and we knocked them by an innings and some in the last match; no reason why we can't push on briskly and make a damn good fist of this.

Poor shot Katich.
Watson was plumb the over before as well, very lucky to be given not out and probably would've been a good one to review for the Windies.

How many wickets down and runs left until they put the cue in the rack? As someone said above, if they want to chase it down the blowtorch is well and truly applied to Hussey.
