Effort is great. But needs to start taking those nearly marks. At his size can't be spilling so many.

he’s been consistently getting the best defender since langford went down. they’re the best because they’re (shockingly) hard to mark against!!!

i suppose you’d be happier torpedoing his confidence and put him back in the twos despite doing what most 19 year old key forwards do most weeks?
 
I still think he was OK today, all things considered. A promising kid.
I thought he went ok as well, wasn't really a day for key forwards tbh. Kicked 2 had plenty of almost moments that with more game time those moments happen. Will clunk those marks as he gets stronger and those posters become goals.

It's frustrating that he gets his hands to so many contests, yet can't clunk a mark to save his life. It's not a strength and positioning problem, as he is getting to the right spots. He just isn't clean enough.

The amount of unrewarded running he did was compelling.
I wonder how many people who are bagging him were actually at the game. I suspect tv does not show his true efforts.
This 1000%.
May not be marking the football as much as some would like but his work rate is massive.
He can be a mobile 50 goal forward even if the marking is never his one wood.

Agreed, like Duursma he's another one of the players whose efforts don't show up on a tv broadcast.

He covers ground like a small and actually exerted a surprising amount of defensive pressure. Also was missed by teammates a few times running forward. Love his tank and competitiveness. Just needs to make some better decisions with ball in hand.
