Doesn't look to be a great kick but it's only one match of highlights.
I do love his attack on the ball though and I always love a player who has the ability to get the ball to boot quickly before being tackled. They are the kicking turnovers that you can handle because they invariably put the opposition under pressure.
RD, that's what WB did this year. Ferocious attack on the ball and move it in our direction, always! Great pick up!

it seems Bolton and Graham will both play right away.... Garthwaite the only one that wont although I would play him ahead of arseberry
Agree with the Garthwaite appraisal, but can't see Bolton playing early.

Whats not been mentioned here but listening to Francis Jacksons interview is that Jack Graham is an Elite runner !

He never tested at the combine so cant find any statts but would love to know what his times were and just how elite his running actually is as he doesnt look like a big runner and doesnt look very fast

DINNER is on Oleg Markov when Jack Graham reunites with his former North Adelaide teammate at Richmond.

Graham was tipped to be a top-30 selection at Friday night’s AFL National Draft but the inside midfielder was forced to wait anxiously until the Tigers selected him with pick 53.

A short time later, close friend and ex-Rooster Markov congratulated him via text.

“Oleg said ‘Monday, dinner’s on me’,” Graham, 18, says.

“I’m pretty stoked to get to see him again.

“We were pretty close, he’s a great bloke and I’m sure he’ll take me under his wing.

“(Tigers captain) Trent Cotchin also sent me a message, saying ‘welcome to Tigerland’.

“Straight away all the boys have made me feel welcome and it’s a great feeling.”

This past season Graham became the first Croweater in 14 years to win the Larke Medal for the best division one player at the national under-18 titles.

Jack Graham, drafted to Richmond, with his mum Sue, sister Keeley (10) and dad Jeff.
The SA captain averaged 25.3 disposals during the championships and was named in the under-18 all-Australian team.

He was linked to Brisbane’s mid-20s selections in the lead-up to the draft and Essendon spoke with him on Friday.

But the Lions and Bombers overlooked him, leaving the Tigers to pounce.

For a while, Graham thought he might have to wait until Monday’s rookie draft to find an AFL home.

“You never know really with the draft,” he says.

“I was getting a bit nervous but I’m over the moon that Richmond picked me up.

“At the end of the day, we all start out on the same line.”

Graham — the son of former West Torrens player Jeff Graham — watched the draft at home in Greenwith with friends and family.

He says his heart sank a little bit when his name was called.

“I couldn’t believe it — the dream kind of came true,” he says.

“Mum was like all mums, over the moon and jumping for joy.

“Dad gave me the old handshake and hug, and just said ‘congratulations’.”

Graham was stunned to be one of just four homegrown Croweaters taken on Friday.

The others were Roosters teammate Will Hayward (Sydney), Woodville-West Torrens defender Brennan Cox (Fremantle) and Sturt basketball convert Lewis Young (Western Bulldogs).

“Some of the talent we had at the national champs was great and I’m surprised some of the other boys didn’t get picked up,” he says.

“I thought there was going to be a lot more than four.”

Graham, who stands 183cm and 83kg, will head to Melbourne on Sunday.

He says being selected later in the draft will motivate him during his first AFL pre-season.

“You just want to go out there and put your best foot forward,” he says.

“I’m looking forward to getting to know the boys and making sure I get their respect.”

I know it might be a stretch but hoping he's Dayne Swan-esk in terms of getting to contest after contest.......

True but does that mean they play outside the square at center bounces and move into the middle from the wings? Half back? Half Forward? So we then omit McIntosh? BEllis? Grigg? Hunt? Lloyd? Does strength up the team imo
Replacing Hunt is a bad thing????o_O

I really, really, REALLY like this pick.

The bloke has limitations BUT....he wants it. Not many duds win the Larke Medal. Inside bull, can break a pack. Ready to go. Clear upgrade on a couple.
Not an athletic freak, I reckon that and the hamstring issue were why he slid. A footballer, not an athlete.

According to FG he's got a really good tank

Hunt
B Ellis
Grigg

Should not be playing seniors

God speed jack graham

but does mopsy like him
He was one i thought we may get at around pick 29so yes i like this pick at 56 or whatever it was we got him.
Unlike most and with fine eyes still having a huge influence i am asking why he slipped so far.

As i have said right throughout the entire off season we should have gone to the draft traded into it instead of trading out of it.
So i was not happy with the direction we took well before the nd happened.

Rather hopefully i was hoping we could trade into a top 5 pick keep pick 6 and get prestia a bit cheaper or with 2017 picks.

Anyway for what its worth i dont mind the pick the one i am sort of stunned by is the bolton pick.
At 29 and with what was left we had a real chance to address needs and we took a very sml player who only translates as a fwd atm.
Over a quarter of our list is made up of smalls and we took another.
Anyway good luck to em all i dont have a gripe with the players themselves just the way we have gone about it again imo having just one nd pick inside the top 50 is a disgrace that thinking wont change just because the nd has been and gone.

yeah sorry, just meant footballer first. Innate ability to read the game, not A1 disposal but good enough

You guys stole Graham, MVP of the 18s championship All Australian under 18 and you got him where you did

SA came second in the championship yet had bugger all players picked in the draft graham was clearly one of our best

He has played state footy since under 12 the bullshit he is a man child is a joke Matk Ricciutto had the same tag and look how he turned out

This could the the steal of the century he is big and strong enough to play this year similar to that of Ricciutto joining the crows

I believe this steal has occurred as too much media attention is on the TAC and they ignore talent from outside that pool

Good luck to you this could help your club as we all know midfielders are the key and he could become a superstar

Making my hangover marginally more tolerable.
