Big risk to bring him in. You don’t want him reinjuring it again and potentially giving him Fantasia like hammy problems. Would love him to get up for the game, is one of our most reliable these days.

Sounds like they brought him back too soon.

Yeah I’m not saying we rush him back but if fully fit I suspect one of our fringe players makes way for him.

Im still confused why they rushed him back never seemed like a risk worth taking. Langford has 100 plus more games left in his career. No point endangering his career to chase 8th spot.

Going well and ticking the boxes but not sure if he'll be available.

Essendon isn’t certain whether midfielder Kyle Langford will return from a hamstring strain for Sunday’s elimination final against the Western Bulldogs.

The 24-year-old has missed the past three games after re-injuring his hamstring in the Dons’ loss to the Swans in round 20.

Head of high performance Sean Murphy said while Langford was progressing positively in his recovery, there was no definitive answer about his availability for Sunday.

“‘Langers’ is going along really well with (progressing from) that hamstring strain,” Murphy told Dons Digital’s Liberty Financial Performance Update.

“He’s in the rehab process at the moment, ticking all of the boxes and we’ll just continue to tick him along.”

I can see him playing a Bayley Fritsch type role for us if coached well, with his ceiling being higher.

He can be our Kyle Langford on a wing. Just putting it out there.
