Don't get pregnant if you don't want to sacrifice. I'm sure the sacrifices are worth it when they see their baby grow up, learn to walk, talk, go to school etc. The majority of men will never see this. To busy providing for the wife and child.

Errr, I really really hope you are joking or fishing, and not actually serious.

If I got pregnant, I'd have to give up my career (or put it on hold, to severe detriment), which I've worked hard for.

But if the woman never wanted to have the child in the first place, how are those moments better than having the career she wanted? She shouldn't be forced into having a different kind of life.

Sure, but the thing is that male sacrifices are generally nowhere near those of females, which is why I don't think men should generally get much of a say in the matter.

I technical point! when does life start for one could argue that life starts at the moment that the Egg leaves the Ovaries if this was accepted then once a month from about the age of 13 Women naturally have an abortion until they stop having periods around the age of 45 this means a Women would have over 300 abortions in her lifetime!

The Victorian Government is considering a report from the Victorian Law Reform Commission that bascially wants to remove the act of carrying out an abortion from the crimjes Act! I have no problem with this change, it also proposes to broaden the time frame that an abortion can be performed!

I believe abortion is a deeply personal and private matter that should be handled with care between a Doctor and the Patient in accordance with the Health Procedures Act 1989 (Victorian act)

I understand where those against abortion are coming from, but I firmly believe they are putting emotion ahead of a real understanding of the various issues that lead to abortions!
