But the umpire coaching is thing. It can often can be premeditated. I was annoyed the umps gave the Hawks no time to take a kick and called play on so quickly. When Gunston kicked backwards 50 meters in the 2nd quarter (which was dumb) the umps called play on so quickly to Frawley and Melb goaled.

The umpire coach is the key. There needs to be more accountability.

Yeah they did, they had some fairly handy players taken very early in the draft help with that. Time will tell whether the current strategy is the right one.

If the strategy is go hard at flags when you can through trade etc and you snag a few possible at some detriment down the track . I think you take that anyway of the week

Dees were the better team but Jesus they got the rub of the green right up to the last quarter when the game was dead.

Non mark to breust, the flop by Oliver, blatant throws missed, holding the ball about to be called then changes mind to in the back when it wasnt, player ducks at one end it's a free and not at the other.

Started second and third quarter with soft frees that lead to goals.

Truly woeful umpiring.

Probably cancelled out by the fact Oliver was held and scragged at every stoppage which was ignored by the umps all night bar one occasion and Rougheads impersonation of Selwood gifting him a goal in the last.
