This is massive news off the back of state decisions to close their borders. There really wasn't any other option. No AFLW premiership this year. Looking to reopen on 31 May, but that seems optimistic to me.

My wife has a group fitness gym and she has set up an on line workout today.

Was it ever in doubt? The world is in a hurry to out-panic each other. I wish some sports league would keep open just as a way of saying 'keep calm and carry on' and as a source of entertainment, but no one seems to share that view.

The world is panicking and losing itself... I hope it winds up worthwhile.

I know people will call them insane for 'risking the lives of players and staff' and then after a few days to a week they will give up and go away as well, but at least they will have tried. They have an ‘essential service classification like supermarkets’ can you believe it! I’m in the industry and feel very uneasy about having to go to work as my employer is governed by what Bunnings does!!

My job supports one of the essential services, but whether that’s enough to keep the doors open I’m not sure.

I’ve got a bit of annual leave up my sleeve, so I’m better off than a lot of people.
