You're just dribbling absolute s**t here.

McStay averaging just over a goal a game before he left Brisbane is meaningless. Brisbane having a good forward line is also meaningless, and it also has nothing to do with McStay (have you even watched Brisbane play?).

FWIW Josh Schache averaged 1.7 goals a game across their 2021 season at the Dogs. McStay has never averaged that many.

McStay is a bloody average footballer.
McSTay wasn't a full forward. But as I said, you should remember him well. Kicked 2 goals in the final quarter against Melbourne in the 2nd Semi.
Straight sets. I understand why you blocked it from your memory.

We had more behinds than your total Goals and Behinds. The Mcinnes one was a combination of perceived pressure and a guy who is probably the 22nd player of the 22 so they're bound to make howlers which that definitely was. We had about 6 misses equivalent to Hoskin-Elliott's though. Grundys, Picketts and Joel Smith's without even thinking.

It's not a wake up call really for you guys. Pies will be fine. You're still flag favourites. But I think it just showed that when true pressure is applied even your Rolls-Royces in Pendles and Daicos feel the heat.
Or they just had average games like any other top player. If you think Daicos has never played in a high pressure game in his career, you have no idea.

I gotta agree with you on this one. Brown is a spud who i never want to see again and Tom Mcdonald is simply too slow these days. The only thing these two do is kick straight but they offer nothing at ground level. I'd prefer Joel Smith who did some nice things like the chase down tackle on Maynard and even though he missed the set shot, I like the tone it sets.
There’s nothing wrong with having at least one of them i50. Particularly someone like McDonald who breaks packs far better than any of the current 6.

I loved the Fritsch v Moore match up - someone like McDonald would’ve forced Moore to focus more on his own player.

On the other hand, Smith looked good, I really liked what I saw of him yesterday, but when looking long term, you already have that ‘type’ in the forward line.

Be honest though, if Melbourne even kicked averagely in front of goal, instead of horrifically we would've won by 6 goals. We smashed you all over the park for the majority of the day but just couldn't convert. Dees players didn't drop their heads at all. A few questionable free kicks in that last 3-4 minutes too.

Yeah, I don’t subscribe to the what if argument. The only reason I wanted one more minute was because that last 2 minute was entertaining from a sports fan perspective, and the extra minute would’ve had people on the edge of their seats, irrespective of the final outcome.

Dees kick straight, and the game is over by midway through the last.

Collingwood are still the best team in it though in my opinion. Just in terms of consistency but Melbourne's best is still going to trouble the pies, but we haven't played this way in 18 months to be honest. The defensive pressure was finally up. Pies fans are saying there were uncharacteristic mistakes from guys like Daicos and Pendlebury but every time they got the ball they were jittery and were given no time or space.

Kudos to the Dees, not so much the pressure, but they’re set up behind the ball. I haven’t seen the Pies turn the ball over as much as they did yesterday. Pressure was definitely a factor, but the way Melbourne set up behind play just makes it difficult for any side to navigate the footy forward.

Pendles was disappointing and he doesn’t usually turn it over that much. I noticed it from the get go, he was moving far slower than he usually does. The bye comes at a very good time for the Pies by the looks of yesterday.

Dees get a test straight off the bye against the Cats so should be good to see, with Oliver back, what they do there.

At the risk of taking you seriously (let's face it, you're a poor troll), they're both currently injured, as is Petty.
Fairly sure Brown has been playing VFL. Rounds 7,8,9,10,11,12. Would he have played this week if not injured? Unlikely.
Tom Macdonald has played 3 games in the VFL. Would he have played this week? Maybe. Apart from his 4 goals against West Coast, the guy has been a liability for Melbourne. But, if he is in your best 22, we can't help you.

LOL, you need to read it again, or stop being a troll
I’m not going to get involved, but I’m sure Trac wouldn’t be apologising for no reason. Obviously words were spoken and it was in the heat of the moment.

People love to s**t on Cox - don’t reckon that’s fair in this instance though.

If you have a bunch of guys that played average games skill execution wise, it's the defensive pressure. I think credit where credit is due there.

They're all jealous of Cox, a guy who dominates a game he'd never heard of growing up, what a legend!

Absolutely.

And better to learn that now than in September.

Pretty confident Collingwood have a considerable amount of upside in them.
Collingwood will go all the way Fadge. Don't worry about that 👍

Yesterday, he takes a mark an uncontested mark over Judd McVee who is 182cm and stares him down. Like he needs to read the room better. We played Tomlinson on Cox and I think that shows him how much we rated him.

Ok I've read it again and it still says Petracca yelled at Cox then apologised, what am I missing Einstein?

both players spoke to the media after the game, one of them says what happens on the field stays on the field, the other has a sook and tries to play the victim

Cox is a flog and anyone who tries to defend him is as well.

What a ******* princess
