Same scoring as the dogs? would say dogs are defensive? They don't play to score
Go to bed, you’re drunk.No. What was abysmal was Richmond's skill level. But of course, instead of being humbled by that, the arrogance focuses on something else. Perfect example of the mindset of the club and it's supporters.
Yeah probably BOG in the end. Huge last qtr.Bolton 14 touches in the last quarter too
I really hope the bloke is ok but that's the type of umpiring call made in the International Rules series played by the AFL B team against Ireland in November. The free kick was for making his headband fly off
Awful awful game.planSame scoring as the dogs? would say dogs are defensive?
Yep just cant bump these days when contesting for the ball. not unless you get lowYeh ok, I see it.
Probably will get weeks in this day and age but he was contesting the ball and a millisecond later to it than aish.
No, if there is insufficient evidence to say it hit the post or didn’t hit the post you go with the umpires call. As they do every single time, except of course at the Gabba last September. So if there is insuffient evidence to say it hit the post then surely that’s a goal and not umpires call?
My bad... Apologies to Pav. I was watching on Kayo and probably got a bit confused with the switches between the 7 team (Basil, Jones) and Pavlich doing his stuff for Fox Footy during the breaks.Um hes not commentating. Pretty sure Basil and Nate Jones is.
Yeh, but the alternative in this situation is not contesting the ball at all. If he doesn't turn to brace last second it ends up being head to head clash or front chest to head.Yep just cant bump these days when contesting for the ball. not unless you get low
Felt like the intensity of the game was super high… entertaining contest. I thought freo would run over the top in the last but pleased the Tiges were able to grind out the last 10 mins with some smart playWell I am gutted with any narrow Freo loss.
Saying that, congratulations to tigers for winning.
They made use of the ball and made less mistakes too.
Awful awful game.plan
Agree, thought you guys were hard done by and should have got another 10 or so frees.Firstly well done to the Tiges, gave a us a whipping in the wet. Genuine question re: umpiring and chaos ball. There were several times I saw hack kicks used (predominantly Richmond, and indicitive of the playing style they've ushered in) where I think dangerous play should have been called given a player with hands nearly on the ball.
Not sure what others think, personally I think the guy wothhis head over the ball should be rewarded vs the swinging leg. Thoughts?

Yours never started broMate your era is over just accept it already
there was one clear one that should have been a free to freo (maybe dusty or balta airshot out of the backline?) imo but the others I thought were in line with how they usually umpire it.My bad... Apologies to Pav. I was watching on Kayo and probably got a bit confused with the switches between the 7 team (Basil, Jones) and Pavlich doing his stuff for Fox Footy during the breaks.
But my point still stands.. Nathan Jones was utterly useless tonight as a special comments guy.
I just don't understand how Channel 7 can spend so much money on the TV rights and then ruin every telecast with a bunch of idiot commentators who talk talk talk talk but they say nothing.

I get it, but you don't know if you'll be first or second when it is that close until it happens.Yep, the price of being second to the ball. Players should know by now.
It seems contested footy and even tackling are under increasing threat of growing levels of new types of interpretation. Not to mention HTB and push in the back are already highly endangered species.Yep just cant bump these days when contesting for the ball. not unless you get low
How many decades since your last finals victory?Mate your era is over just accept it already
It's actually a common trait of coaches in their 3rd year +Good rebuttal.
You mean when the ARC used simple geometry and got the definitive 100% objectively correct outcome? No, if there is insufficient evidence to say it hit the post or didn’t hit the post you go with the umpires call. As they do every single time, except of course at the Gabba last September.
Would have won by an extra goal if we didn’t get one of them actuallyThis would've been a closer game if Richmond didn't get the frees that they received
