Adelaide played well for about 15 minutes total.

Bad loss for Brisbane.

Their kickouts at the end weren't great but still defended well enough that we couldn't score with ease. Going forward they were efficient all night and their pressure was through the roof.

I think when the dust settles, it's not the worst result. Adelaide are firing at the moment and AO is not easy to win at. You have to give them props for the way they defended an avalanche at the end.

We needed to use the ball better and not panic. Just have to take those lessons on the chin.

Pretty good game of footy, these two sides always seem to play close.

You just had a 8 point swing on a top 4 rival. Win that and you are 2.5 games clear of 4th

Completely different players. Rayner has burst. Ashcroft just did rush kicks out of packs and selfish 1-2 handballs to the detriment of the team. And then applied a blowtorch to the footy when the team needed him to actually hit a target.

Tell me 1 piece of play where Ashcroft actually broke a line or had elite vision by hand? he is the very definition of an accumulator with low hurt factor.

I'm not trolling. Adelaide can play much better than that. They fought it out well, were clinical in front of goals the last 3 quarters and had a great patch early in the last.

Brisbane threw it away though. They crumbled both defensively and conversion-wise in the last quarter. It wasn't an honourable loss against world beaters.

Think there efforts across the game to stifle Brisbane were the results of good play and discipline. They just had an offensive burst at the start of the last timo win them the match. Mature performance. Sign of a contender. Next Friday night is set up for a cracker.
