I think only Munkara can be put onto Cat B. Also we have a full rookie list.

Okay, if we want to get really wild...

Lets say GC blink and decide to do 5 & F1 for our 4 & F2 in order to secure Humphrey.

Then lets say it is Tsatas that Melbourne wants and they blink..

We do 5 for 13, F1 (Freo) & F1 (Melbourne)

From there, we trade 22 and F1 (Melb) for Sydney's 14.

Leaving us with...

2022: 13, 14, Davey x 2, Munkara
2023: F1, F1 (GC), F1 (Freo)

The way this is going, by the end of tonight we might have all of the 2023 picks.

Unless the offer is genuinely coco bananas, which at this stage I’m not sure it is. I prefer quality of first rounders rather than quantity for us at the moment.

Agreed.

I have been tempted to say this a few times but I didn't want to be attacking anyone in particular.

If the analysis doesn't support the business as usual conclusion the conclusion cannot be business as usual.

We've already failed to build a team from picks 1, 5 and 6 taken in the space of 2 drafts. That's supposed to be enough to set a team up for an era, it should have set up this era.

Free yourselves from football dogma, people.

Yes, and even though the first few teams definitely know who they will select and have a plan B option, they all use their allotted 3 or 5 minutes to drag it out further ie the AFL wont recognise the pick in its system until TV has had time to interview the last guy picked and/or get an advert in.

The plot thickens, considering where we are at in our rebuild, an additonal couple of F1s next year is appealing, high end talent in multiple back to back to back drafts. But with the calibre of players Dodo and RFK have in front of them right now atm think they'd lean towards keeping things simple there (Phillipou please). Unless we get an absolute Godfather (or should that be Dodfather) offer I'd hold onto what we've got.

Curious to see if we'll look to upgrade 22 in some shape or form.

Only difference to your want list for me is Szybowski over Hewett but I would be very pleased with Hewett.

Melb/Dogs out: 3 First rounders
Melb/Dogs in: Pick 5 (Gets them there Tsatas) + 22

Ess In: 3 first rounders and F2 (Suns)
Ess out: Pick 4 and 22
