Some were saying it’s the worst kicking they ever seen. I thought those sort of statements were overblown. I acknowledge he still needs to work at it.

I think he needs to get back to the VFL and play midfield. That is what he is going to be. Forget the wing. He does not use the ball well enough. Get him up and going in the position he is going to play.

He was seriously up and back all night. Found a lot of space but was rarely used for some reason.

Was a weird night for him that way. I saw him go when it is was his time to go at times and then completely back out of the contest at others.

On a wing your told to hold your width at contests, I think it’s a confidence thing and being a young player he is unsure when he should or shouldn’t go to a contest in case he doesn’t impact and is burnt the other way. Parish and Merrett both have had those moments in their career so yeah I’m not too concerned about that at this stage.
