First I thought it was a mistake with the stats sheet, but no - Cockatoo and Parfitt have retained their numbers but on the team sheet/stats sheet they have also become Gary Rohan in name. I can't remember if their actual attributes morphed over to Gary Rohan's (i.e they actually became clones) or if they changed only in name. Bizarre nonetheless.
Oh and my Kolo turned into another Henry.

Agreed - all of that stuff needs a massive tidy up as there are just too many glitches. My Geelong team has 3 Gary Rohan's somehow, for instance.

You have my sympathy. Even one Gary Rohan is too many.

I suspect they were picked up from fanhub for custom players saved or custom team. If so I guess somebody turned a Gary Rohan into someone else to just use his attributes as a starting point and maybe when download the EVO data in Gameday it somehow overides those names or becomes Rohan again. Doubt it but trying to see how it happened. I know my actual team in coach career mode is a custom team and some of players on it I saved from fanhub to make my own team. I also created one player that I must have used from saving an original player. I do know there is two Stephen Kernahan's in the fanhub. I found I had two of them weeks ago when first did it so did not realise I saved both but deleted the dud one with less ratings a week later when I noticed another one on my list that was not playing in the team.

It's the new normal. Radio silence in this day and age is a huge red flag. I'm super excited about upcoming Big Ant productions simply because Ross is here interacting with the community on a daily basis.

There's no reason you can't check in with your target community a few times a week at least

The problem though is that anything AFL branded will sell well regardless, regardless of how poor the product is or how minimal the marketing is by the producers/developers.

Out of all of the people on this board who have been critical of this game, hands up if you didn't end up buying it?

Hell, I even bought AFL Live 2.... Albeit only on the console that it was suited to... the iPad.

That's the thing, after the chequered history of AFL games and Evo 1 this was always going to be a high risk purchase, especially for that price. Definitely a smarter one to wait and see what the critical/fan consensus was before purchasing. I, like many others, bit the bullet mostly for a footy fix in lieu of an actual football season commencing. I more or less knew what I was in for. That doesn't make bugs, glitches or flaws suddenly acceptable but I had every opportunity to use logic and hold off. FWIW warts and all, after some tinkering with the sliders I still find it a fun game of footy to play. I'd love a top end AFL title but this one seems about what I expected. Could've been better, could've been much worse.

I'm still enjoying so far but kind of just waiting around for a patch to drop at the moment. Not really keen on starting a pro career with all the bugs and glitches. Want those to be addressed before I sink too many hours into that feature.
The game itself isn't too bad at times and can genuinely play really well but it's still quite clunky.
They need to really tune down the amount of marking animations where players jump and fall to the ground. It really breaks the flow.
The commentary is easily the worst aspect of the game though. How hard is it to have lines that aren't stitched together, that's some 90s bullshit.
Also some context would be nice too. I played a season and it was round 23 and it just so turned out that I was equal top with my opposition and not a single word was uttered about that or the winner being minor premiers. It could be so easily.implemented and really sucks any life out of the atmosphere.

Just had this happen to me! Sorta did a double take as well.
Here's the clip:

Spooky isn't it!
I'd recommend posting to the WW forum if you haven't already done so.
They ended up identifying the line in the code, so could be fixed whenever the new patch hits...

So clunky and jarring. Pre-release we kept hearing about how Cheeto had written like 30,000 lines of dialogue or something. **** knows where they're hidden.

You'd think a few of those 30,000 could've been recording numbers and names more than once. "At quarter time. It's. Adelaide. Five. SIX!!! Thirty SIX!!! To. Melbourne. SIX!!! One. Thirty seven."

I don’t know if you guys have the same problem but I’ve done every achievement except the 100 goals in one season and the Brownlow medal, I did them but it won’t give me the trophy which is disappointing

So in my 12 week layoff with a face fracture I simulated every game and proceeded to lose every game and miss finals. What a waste of time.

How'd you get drafted at pick 1?

When is a patch happening ?
Hoping for an official announcement soon. But that could be a day, week, month... who knows...

Ok, cool, least I know they are coming at least.
Looking forward to playing it more and testing out more things about the game then.

We are hoping to do as many patches as we can to give fans more of what they want.

Mr Warne would be proud of the spin here

It has hailed each time I have made it to the grand final, right on the final buzzer.

There is a range of dates in their FB post, so it should be imminent:
18 April at 11:56 "The plan is to have at least 2 patches:- The first is to be made available in 2-3 weeks"

"Take advantage of the Unreal Engine capabilities"

Shouldn't that have already occurred while creating the game?

That's part of the game. Nobody wants to see Collingwood win anything.

The Unreal Engine has been the whipping boy in nearly every post, from the point that there was the misleading delay of game post, making people think they switched Engine part way through*, right up until now.

It's not the Engine that causes any of the gameplay bugs or AI issues - IMO they'd be best to fess up and own it, instead of blaming what are very expensive world class tools. I wouldn't be happy if I were Epic.

*they didn't, it has always been on the Unreal Engine from day one.
