He played for the flying Boomerangs 4 years ago and was offered a First Nations Scholarship to MGS in late 2021.

He's been using North's welfare team since he moved to Melbourne from Tassie.. I also know North's Indigenous Welfare officer has been helping him out for the last 2 years.

Now if Essendon offer McKay $800k a year, shouldn't hear a peep out of anybody, because most trade and draft fans understand that is the ball park figure for Band 1 compensation. But if the AFL magic up band 1 compo for a $650k a year contract, then people are going to call b.s.

As for North potentially receiving permission to prelist Sanders. The AFL should flat out refuse such a request, as North's current predicament is self inflicted, and should not be compared to the situation Gold Coast found itself in back in 2018.

The AFL doesn't have an uncompromised draft. It hasn't ever since they introduced the Father Son rule, and free agency compensation.

That affects every team, not just North.

You shouldn't have access to Sanders due to the AFL's rule about not being able to match NGA bids in the top 40.

Half the wins - double the compo? Puts it around the Saunders 10!!
