In a truly whole-of-club evening, you’ll have the chance to meet Carlton’s biggest names and watch a game of footy at our spiritual home, as Family Day and Round 3 of the AFLW season combine.

The free family-friendly evening kicks off at 5.30pm on Saturday 17 February at Ikon Park, with players from the men’s line-up arriving at 6:30 to interact, sign autographs and get photos with supporters.

Proudly presented by Hyundai, there’ll be plenty of activities for children, including face painters and live interactive zones.

Following the festivities on the northern lawn outside Ikon Park, Bluebaggers can catch our women’s team take on last year’s grand finalists, the Brisbane Lions.

In what’s sure to be a tough contest, the match begins at 7:40pm and we’d love to see our traditional home ground packed with navy blue.

What: Hyundai Family Match

When: Saturday 17 February, opens at 5.30pm

Where: Northern Lawn, Princes Park

Entry: FREE

Parking: Please note that parking will not be available on the Northern Lawn, with public transport recommended.

Another night game. Good for spectators but I can't help but wonder if our games are lower scoring at night.

Our first 5 games are night games. No other team has that many. I wonder if it has an effect at all.

Weren't North Known as the night game specialists years ago? Go Baggers do it for Bri.

On the plus side its likely to be a cooler temp than the day games.

I wondered about the height and quality of the lights affecting our ability to get clean possessions last season at PP. Will look again this weekend, and might wander to Footscray the following week and compare. We are getting shots on goal, just not converting very well.

Well, the lighting at Princes was appalling against Collingwood. Wouldn't be at all surprised if it had an impact.

What's up with Madi Keryk these days, was in the leadership group last year and from the looks of it can't get a game this year.

Who comes in for Bri?

Kennedy
Grieves (rookie)
Webb (rookie)

Guess it should be Bridie - i’m Looking forward to see her play. Thought we might have seen her in the first two games.
You forgot about Gillespie-Jones. ;)

The Hyphens should have been playing last week IMO, so glad to see them come in. Shierlaw gets another life, but if she can't pick up the slack for Harris, Kennedy will come in.

Looking forward to an exciting showing from our midfield group.

Yep, doh. Grieves will be interesting too. Fast midfielder according to the draft write-ups. We seem to be searching for the right combo. Wouldn't be surprised to see Stevens in the back line a bit. She has the Davey type calm.

Hope the players don't drop their bundle and give the commentators a chance to crow about us being a one woman team.

Can someone enlighten an old man.
I saw that GG was named in the midfield, she is fearless and plays with heart, but she must weigh all of 45kg's. So I go to the website and the players weights are not listed?
Is this still a no no, like asking a woman's age?
It'll probably lead to an unfair comparison both within the league and with other women's sports, so they'll probably start doing it in 3-5 years when there's a decent amount of full-time professional athletes.
