Cooney - Unlucky, but i feel he was more damaging last year.
Akermanis - Has played some good games, but not consistantly.
Okeefe - Hasn't done enough, and has only been firing over the last month.

It seems like Hawthorn are going to be lucky to get at least 2 players selected in the AA this year. The selectors normally like to pick players representing the top sides and considering Hawthorn is the 2nd best side this season you would expect the selectors to squeeze them in.
Franklin is the only definate at the moment. Mitchell likely. Hodge maybe.

Probably not Hodge because he has missed too many games.
Maybe Mitchell, but he's had half a dozen games where he's been average - think he's missed a couple too?

I agree with you there, the first half of the seasonn is forgotton alot of the time. Bit like when everyone was writing off Mcleods career - his first 8 games were very good.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Cooney, Akermanis or Okeefe get an AA jumper..but IMO R.Murphy and Didak have been slightly better this year.

Lake has played himself out of contention in my opinion. I was on his bandwagon earlier in the year saying how he hadn't been beaten, but since then he has skidded downhill and lowered his colours to basically every decent opponent he has played on or in every big game he's played in. Pavlich 4 goals, Roughead 4 goals, Fevola 5 goals, Mooney BOG, Brown 3 goals (only Lion good that day). Conceded too many goals yet again this year and nowhere near as damaging rebounding as 2007.

Yeah i think we will probably only have 2 players in the team, being Franklin and Mitchell. Mitch has to be in the team, has had some blinders (awesome start to the year) and been pretty consistent in most games, but also had about 2 or 3 quieter games, but still gets around 20 touches.

I know this may not stand for much but you look at the media awards and coaches award, and Mitchell is in top 5 for all of them, and is still leading the comp for clearances.

Been unlucky with injueries, with Sewell, Batman and Croad would have been in contention if healthy all season.

Agree 100%. I think he had a good start to the season but has dropped off horribly. Scarlett, Hudghton, Bolton, Bock and Harley are ahead of him as the key backmen.
