It will be ridiculous if someone who's played 20+ games gets relegated to the bench while Ablett is named in the starting line up.

Not that the line up rubs out anywhere, or anything like that, but it would not make sense.

He probably shouldn't but Selwood,hodge,pendles and danger have been locks in the team since they committed to international rules

I like the fact that you can spell Breust, Riewoldt and Malceski but not Selwood, Heppell or Ablett.

If you had 6 players in contention (not disagreeing with this) of being in the AA squad of 40. You should be playing finals football.

I don't see why Ablett should be anywhere near the AA team to be honest when he only played 2/3's of the whole season.

Hopefully they have a better spread of AA's this year from the top teams as well since the top teams finished in the top four for a reason.

Freo made the GF last year and only had 1 AA in 2014

This is my personal team, not what I think the selectors will choose. The hardest choice was the forward line/bench, just couldn't fit Sandilands, Hawkins and Ballantyne in among others. I have no doubt that Selwood will be included in the team and on the field, but I've got quite a few mids who didn't make my team ahead of him.

I think Luke Hodge is actually worthy of a HBF. Not sure who said it but it was earlier in this thread - Hodge has definitely not had an average season. Been one of the Hawks best.

Hard to disagree. Many clubs have players who have been huge for their clubs respectively in a no fuss manner, but not necessarily AA standard.
