I honestly thought they'd actually already played together.Looks pretty good on paper.
Haas may be injured? Moses and Cleary together will be interesting. As a Queenslander I was always pleased NSW never did it but will it work?

I think its pretty close TBH. Theres no obvious substitutes there for me?I honestly thought they'd actually already played together.
I think it'll work fine. Not the best team we could've picked but I'd be surprised if it doesn't get the job done.

QLDs rumored team looks 6 tries worse.
I like Leniu off the bench in Origin. Comes on with a real fire.Absolute joke that King, Leniu and Barnett will be SOO front rowers this year and May won’t be. Utterly ridiculous.
The sort of player regardless of what is obviously a level of immaturity that he needs to work on, that would be the first name on the sheet for Queensland for a decade straight if this sort of football is what he will produce. It’s hard, it’s tough, it’s uncompromising and it’s relentless, and it hasn’t stopped no matter how the rest of the Tigers have played. Gee if I didn’t know better I’d say it sounds a lot like Payne Haas

Personally I'd have Api in instead of Robson but it's really just preference.
May should clearly be in the side.

I'd probably prefer Burton in 14 (just due to being able to cover more spots) but perfectly ok with Watson there as well.
Yeah agreed. It's not even that I think he should replace any of the others specifically (think individually they're all very good players) but what May is doing he should've been starting with Haas.Leniu has some presence no argument there. Just staggered that a player doing what May is doing is so easily overlooked.
Yeh injuries have been pretty cruel to both sides.I more meant with some of the injuries.

Yeah I think QLD will struggle this year. I'm sure it'll be closer than it should be but it would honestly shock me to see them win the series.Yeh injuries have been pretty cruel to both sides.
QLD also has some ****ing old halves now with zero in the wings with an injury.
Bit of club bias there. Max is a great player and deserves his place but May has been arguably the best forward in the comp this season. Been incredible. For the life of me I cannot work how people think Max King wasn't a good selection!
All year we've heard the Bulldogs have no forwards or small forwards, Max King has lead our forwards all year outstandingly and the club is coming 1st!
I'd never change a Max King for May at the Bulldogs

I like Barnett, think he'll suit the Origin arena.Max is playing great. Has done a lot to earn his spot.
But May….
Averages 18 hit ups a game (King 14.7)
3.5 tackle breaks a game (King 1.7)
180 metres a game (King 151)
2 offloads a game (King 0.9)
44 tackles a game at 98 per cent efficiency (King 32 tackles a game at 96.4)
Pretty hard to argue May is doing more.
Even more laughable is Barnett being picked ahead of him.

Different sides, King isn't playing 65-70 minutes a game to stat pad a bit Dogs spread the load a lot more as many good sides do to be fair there. Look should May have been there maybe, Keoton was unlucky too, the latter if he did last weeks game a week prior is probably in the side. It's a tricky call, May was never ahead of Barnett and Hass that is a certainty and Leinu is that impact prop. What I expect next Wednesday night is for Barnett to shift to the bench and King to start for the first 20, bring Barnett on after 20-25.
Every year there is always 3-4 guys that are unlucky, and the comments on the Twitch stream made it very easy for Daley and co to leave him out. That said no idea how Stefano is ahead as the reserve.
The comments made on twitch make Daley and Co look like w***ers, no one else. If they found that was a reason to not pick someone? A man in his early 20s playing a video game and having a joke with his mate saying ‘remember that blues jersey I brought you, haha. Throw it out haha’ then that says more about them than it does about him.
That’s rugby union level old boys vindictiveness.
The word stat pad is brought up when May is mentioned but not Haas? How does that work?
Not Lomax? FMD.
The numbers I posted don’t get much easier or more basic to break down. On a per run basis he does more with the ball than King or most of the others and breaks more tackles, and he defends better. It’s that simple.
King is named in the 17 jersey, why do you think he'll start? Barnett makes more sense to start for me.Whether you like it or not team dynamic is a huge selection criteria. Put it this way do you see Corey Horsebrough doing this off the field? He’s just as unlucky on form for QLD. Why even saying in the first place joke or no joke it’s just dumb
Haas has actually played less minutes this year and not stat padded he always has a 10-15 minute rest.
They will have Barnett/Spencer off the bench, King will start and he’s a big reason the Dogs pack has been outstanding even with players missing all season.
