Like most grounds in Melbourne, it is a disgrace. Couldn't tell who was who out there today, good luck too to Lions and Xavs tomorrow, bring your flippers and snorkel.

My oh my Mr Scribe, it took you until September 4 to make this observation?
I suppose you also expected Disco and Foo to be playing? Pfft.

Well, frankly Disco may have been a chance given he last played seniors for them in round 14 against Bernies, only 5 short weeks ago.

Anyhoo, not the greatest afternoon for quality footy, but the better team won on the day.

Cheers Brian........sorry cheers Ron. ;)

Agree that you can now assume Ron has joined the Brian, Sausage, Bob Down team. If only i didnt know Nick wasnt a teenager. Id be less concerned.

Saw todays game and my votes would be -

5. Willingham (BOG)
4. Evans
3. Fiorenza
2. Parton
1. Maslin

Feel for OH having to back up after finishing top 2. This is not fair and i think it may be a little difficult for them to defeat Uni.

Looking forwrd to Xavs v Coll tomorrow. Hopefully the weather holds off again

Great to see Phil Stevens out at De La Salle this very wet afternoon, holding fort at the Under 19 South 1 Prelim with none other than the great Tom Brain! The ground was unbelievable, I haven't seen that much mud in a long, long time.
Sorry Scribe, I'm not Ron, although I like his username, and Octopus, you continue to show how ignorant you are.
Scribe, Carey must have smashed OH to have that many scoring shots in what had to have been average at best conditions.

Oh please Scribe, unlike many people I only lay(pun intended) claim to one username on Big Footy, and that is the one attached to this message.

The reason for my cheap shot at you was that the conditions at The Park suited OH down to the ground today. If they were ever going to win it was in those super heavy conditions, but they just weren't good enough.

I was surprised at the lack of OH support, the grandstand seemed to be full of OC supporters only. I was also surprised by how clean the umpires were after the game!

If there was ever a reason or opportunity for Carey to wear their 'away' strip, today was the day, it would have made viewing a hell of a lot easier, and I must say I was surprised Freemantle wore a sleeveless jumper, he normally shows up in the longy.

Finally, OC were great in victory, very controlled and not particularly over excited on the ground, respecting the OH players and their efforts.

The highly credentialled independent assessor is hard at it analysing this years posts to determine who gets the sort after "Eye" award for the outstanding Premier "B" poster.

The insightful does, however, wish to mark the post of the week for the past week which not surprisingly came from the redoubtable Scribe. Short and sweet and directed at the forum troll.

Agreed Murph - this HR bashing is tedious and irrelevant.
Kudos to Scribe as this board has moved on from the inane meanderings of the the multi aliased troll. To that end the insightful one also asked me to remind hawks09 to never feed a troll.

Play on!

Great response Scribe. Have enjoyed the quick match reports keep up the good work.

OC will go into the GF the hottest favourites probably since St Bedes. Obviously don't have the depth that Bedes enjoyed but will give A section a fair shake if the players are able to stick together.

Reckon Blacks would have enjoyed seeing the reported mudfest yesterday.

...and thanks to your pathetic input Mr 'V' (aka Hawk09, CamVoss Priivate & VAFA Eye) play on it is, and thanks for feeding us.

By the way, where was your report last week??, typical of all personal down at Bogg oval this year, the vommittee needs a week-in, week-out vomitment. LIFT! ("robbo, stop throwing up the days takings son, relax. I'm sure we can come to some arrangement")

your analysis has certainly gone backwards. Where are the inserted tables, and %'s. Your credibility has gone the same way as your football club has gone...DOWN the gurgler in a swirl of carrot and peas, sorry coach!.

Apparently a few applicants have withdrawn from the HR coaching job due to the unsubstantiated rumours about the 'Mr Maguire' factor at your club, maybe Watchful Eye could set these rumours straight and actually comment about this on BF (something - anything),since he is 'in the know' at HR. Could this be one of the reasons Robbins has quit???. Look forward to your thoughts Mr 'V'

anyway, if you can lift your game next Sunday so we can have another crack at your beloved HR.

Mail-Out

The groundstaff at Sportscover Arena would have to use the two days that is projected to be fine-Tuesday & Wednesday-to get Sportscover Arena in reasonable order, because the rest of this week and next week doesn't look very good. Why didn't the VAFA 'rest' Sportscover Arena (ie play no games) from June until just before the finals, if the VAFA had known about the wet weather we are getting now, so Sportscover Arean would be a lot better in comparision to most grounds, which are looking pretty ordinary (ie Meade Reserve Clayton)?

The preliminary final is going to be an interesting game. Could Uni Blacks continue the momentum they have had over the last 6-8 weeks? Or will OH with stars like Voss & Langford-Jones, return to form with a win and a grand final rematch against Old Carey? I reckon this game is going to go right down to the wire on Saturday. Uni Blacks by 2 points.

Gee Scribe,
you really have serious issues, I think Letterman is wrong re Voss, this is definitely Scribe. It's quite sad really that this person tells us he is some sort of 'lawyer', what has our legal system come too?
Of all of the posters on here that could have been mentioned, he just pumps his own tyres up, stop trying to deflect everything onto Briza and man up!

Nup. Not me. Simple as that.
You are sounding like Mel Gibson with your conspiracy theories.

hahaha to think everyone on here you would assume is of legal age to vote, no wonder we currently don't have a government, everyone is acting like school kids! Everyone including us from HR, get over it (no pun intended) & just comment on the games and your own personal clubs.

I would assume 2011 will be the most local (local to our ground i should say) of B grades ever with the below teams all in it

Hampton
Beaumaris
Oakleigh
Caulfield
Haileybury (possibly)
Old Brighton
All within a close proximity

Only St Bernards, Marcellin, OI, St Kevins (not that far) with a bit of a drive. Uni will probably go up based on the comments above.

I think you are on the wrong track with this one GOI - Scribe, as far as I can figure, is the only bloke who has openly outed himself with regards to his BF contributions to the entire VAFA Community. He of course did this via the weekly review in the record (best written in living memory) earlier this year with something in the order of 22 users names included in the general traffic of the report.

I think he has previously outed himself on numerous occasions anyway so if he says he it wasn't him I think you got to take him at his word.

I think in 99 was the last time.. More than likely wrong though!!
HR, Beaumaris and .......

Not sure many would guess right!!

Agreed in 1999 B section included Hampton Rovers, Beaumaris and ORMOND.
I clearly remember our round 2 match against the Monds when Hatty got 9 weeks for breaking Collins' nose and then checked on his welfare in the rooms whilst his teammates on the interchange bench were engrossed in the game. Carlson was none too happy with us that day!

Actually got 6 for the strike and 3 for entering the opposition rooms.

He did have a few taking backward steps that year!!

Vale BrianSpeaking. He was too beautiful for this world.

shouldn't you have added a  o.t.p
