Baldur's Gate I/II, Icewind Dale etc.

Any of you guys and girls into these classics?

I've been playing BGII on and off ever since the guy at Harvey Norman suggested it to me when I asked for a really good RPG back in the early 2000s.

The moment I put CD 1 (of 6 - that blew my mind) in my laptop - I realised I had found something amazing and it opened the door to the original BG and the two IWD games.

Good times.

Confession though - I've never finished any of them! I plan to get through BG 1-2 and Throne of Bhaal before BG3 comes out (so I probably have a couple of years).

All of the above + Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2. I used to be pretty obsessed with Wizards of the Coast's Forgotten Realms stuff and read every R.A Salvatore book up until about 15 years ago. Haven't touched any of the games in about that long either. I tried replaying them with the remasters a few years ago but got too side tracked with new games that kept coming out. NWN 1 is probably still one of my all time top 10 games. Great universe, can't wait for BG3.

If Baldur's Gate is a classic, what does that make Pool of Radiance, Curse of the Azure Bonds and Secret of the Silver Blades? I remember playing Pool 30 years ago and the other two as they came out. Farking hell.

I enjoy Icewind Dale for creating a bunch of classes I'd like to try as you can customize you're whole party.

The Baldur's Gate games definitely have better stories though.
