Hey mufassa how did Belly go this week?

Sam Jacobs in the best - Belly not in the best. Did you see Belly hit the Crows player lace out 20 metres from goal? How much did you lose by?

You know what happened when Goldy played against the Crows?

Going on bests again? Poor mufassa.

The big T-Bell got more hitouts than the crows combined. The only reason Jacobs got in the bests was because Dangerfield, Walker were the only standouts, and the rest of them were solid at best. Jacobs had a reasonable amount of hitouts, so got in.

Tommy was behind Watson, Dempsey, Winderlich, at the very least, and probably Lovett-Murray, Carlisle and a few others.

If Jacobs and T-Bell had swapped, Tommy would've been named 3rd best for the crows without a doubt

NLM was bloody good on the weekend. If you watched a game... oh wait, that doesn't happen, not in bests: weren't good.

Every player ever to play for Essendon was bloody good - only the umpires have cost you winning every game you have ever played.

Goldstein was pathetic last weekend, until he got a couple of cheap touches in 4th quarter junk time to save his game, and even then he was only average. He only had two possessions (one was a turnover) + 14 hitouts and zero tackles in quarters two and three; a disgraceful return against an average ruck in Will Minson and an inexperienced Tom Campbell. The first quarter was the only quarter he had any impact on the game what so ever. He was the 4th worst ChampionData ranked North player at 3-quarter-time (not including subbed players). Saved his day by getting some cheap stats and hitouts when the margin blew out.

Even though Bellchambers had a costly turnover he was still way better than Goldstien this week. And the Champion Data rankings show that: Goldstien 82 (barely above what an average player would score) vs. Bellchambers 115 (fantastic score for a ruckman in a losing team). Goldstein will need to seriously lift his game this weekend.

Pfft - see DS comment Re: Belly not being in Goldy's league. I think we know who has to lift to get close.

Bellchambers was good on the weekend, Goldy was poor.

That said, you would expect Goldy to put in a poor one eventually given he has been dominant in the ruck for 2 months now going one out.

Notice from previous posts that I actually think Belly already a good player with room to move but isn't it interesting you state Goldy was pathetic but then point out his 82 points is barely above what an average player would score.

So when Goldy is 'pathetic' his worst is above an average player still.

It's easier for a ruckman to score higher because even if they contribute jack stuff all around the ground, they can still get hitouts. And if even 20% of them are effective then they'll score well. And as mentioned, Goldy got 34 of those points (41% of his total score) in the 4th quarter junk time when the margin blew out and the pressure was off.

He had a crap game by his standards though, and Bellchambers was better this week.

I do see what you're saying but maybe it was 'junktime and we pulled away was in part because Goldy was lifting? Or maybe the Bulldogs just capitulated anyway?

Either way really really looking forward to Sunday and seeing a heap of 50/50 60/40 match ups. Goldy v Belly will be pivotal as well as several others. Good luck!!!

I've heard alot of people write off the Bombers but I don't think they are in the worst form ever and taking the Crows at AMII to the wire shows some form.

Winner to play finals me thinks

From today's game, Belly dominated.

Bellchambers was outstanding today, still doesn't change my opinion about who is better though.

Couldn't give a **** right now. I'm sure both teams can agree on that.

Simple fact is that the only genuine way to compare the two is head to head, anything else is irrelevant, and head to head today, Bellchambers spanked Goldstein. Added to that, Belly is a year younger and has only played half as many games. Will be a significantly better player than Goldy by the end of their respective careers.

LOL at Mufassa claiming Belly would get his pants pulled down by Goldy today. Goldy got slapped hard.
