Best and Worst Callers (Radio + TV)

Ben Allan and Tim Gossage

Ben is on the Freo board but constantly cheers against the club.

Gossage is an idiot! Loud, biased and stupid.

Anagram of TIM GOSSAGE; EMITS GO-GAS... apt.

I actually rate Tony Leonard on 3AW. Gets a bit excited and out of breath at times, which is entertaining, but doesn't come out with corny (and over the top) Dwayne Russell style sayings. Just calls the action. :thumbsu:

Absolutely love Rex Hunt and Brian Taylor. Offer a lot more than most other commentators and aren't so generic as a lot are. Whenever they give opinions they aren't as useless as Robert Walls who bores me to death with his Captain Obvious like statements.

Best overall would have to be Gerard Whately. I dislike many commentators including: Dennis Cometti and Bruce McAvaney. Their constant freakiness towards players freaks me out, especially Bruce's love of Cyril and Yarran. Also don't like BT as he and his Fox colleagues no nothing about North Melbourne.

I like Hudson on both. Don't mind Hamish McLachlan on the radio even he makes me stabby on TV.

Worst is Dwayne by the length of the straight from Darcy. On radio I avoid Drew Morphett like the plague because he's a whingy old git.

Russel is clearly the worst. But I reckon BT is catching up. He's not funny, he's not clever, he's just a sexually confused man who ruins games of football with his homoerotic calls.

Radio
Best : Chris Dittmar and Shane McInnes
Worst : Kym Dillon and Tony Leonard

Tv
Best : Anthony Hudson
Worst : Dennis Cometti

Whately is streets ahead in the radio stakes.

Tim Lane has gone from one of the best a decade ago to one of the worst since his move to television.

Exactly what you said.

BT for the daily double.

Gerard Healey best special comments man overall.
Tony Shaw and Glen Jakovich get the nod for being the worst.
