ON THE BLOCK: Sunday’s game against Carlton was a chance for West Coast to come to Melbourne, win by a big margin and make a statement going into September. The Eagles won, but that was about it. The pressure will now fall on a number of players as West Coast looks to find the right balance heading into September. Sharrod Wellingham, Jack Redden and Jamie Cripps were all quiet against the Blues and will be looking to bounce back this week. The Eagles may be forced to make at least two changes with Jeremy McGovern (left thumb) and Matt Priddis (left quad) under injury clouds.

Wellingham and Cripps quite? i dont think so!

Blatant incompetence

^ Cripps was the leading goalscorer on the ground, but okay he was quiet as.

ON THE CUSP:
The Eagles could look towards a couple of youngster to come in and give them a spark. Dom Sheed and Liam Duggan were both solid in East Perth’s win against West Perth at the weekend. Duggan finished the match with 18 disposals and a goal while Sheed had 16 disposals.

^ Actually, Sheed had 10 touches, whilst Duggan had 11 and a goal. Hardly huge games.

Why even bother writing the article if it's all incorrect you halfwit.

Now that we didn't look impressive Barrett seems keen to talk about us on Access All Areas (going from the description, I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it yet)
Didn't know enough to actually say anything. Just said we were unconvincing. LLoyd said we can make the 4 but ruled us out for the flag.

They did say later that the Cats 'did what they had to do' though, in barely beating a bottom four side. I guess that doesn't count for us. They then highlighted a bunch of courageous acts from Cats players and analysed their forward line. So good on them.

That's some high-level analysis from Barrett. Certainly miles above the sort of comments that were being made on BigFooty, Facebook etc immediately after the game

Our win was more convincing than Geelongs. Blues are better than Freo and we lead the entire day. Sure it was a small win in the end, but they were never winning from 29 points down in the last.

Freo were what, 5 points down with 10 to go?

Chance to make a statement?
Win by 10 goals and the reaction would be no different from the Lions Gabba belting. All the usual people (Damien Barrett, the trolls/idiots on the main board) would be mocking the "flat trackers" and bringing up the Hawthorn/Geelong/Sydney away games yet again

Damned if we do, damned if we don't.

Who wrote that? Looks like Hackdorns style.

Was at the game, and listening to Sen for commentary, listening to Andy maher coming over the top in commentary with barracking like "umpire!!!, thank you" He was very quiet when Darling got taken out near the goal square, it was funny though hearing his melt when there was a 50 against blues for throwing the ball back to high. He being a one eyed Carlton supporter should not be allowed to commentate blues games.
