I'm talking about the Vault Warrior. I haven't even bothered with the raid bosses on solo, I am nowhere near that good a player.
I find it hard to believe anyone can solo these raid bosses unless

a. They are in the top 1% of FPS players

or

b. they've farmed for hours upon hours and have a backpack full of legendaries.

I had to scrape through against Pyro Pete solo and I think I was 10 levels higher than him

Im referring to both.

I didn't beat any raid bosses on my own - I left them - I presumed they were specifically designed for multiplayer use (after getting my arse handed to me multiple times).

As for the warrior, I would've personally avoided using an assault rifle or sniper rifle against it simply as the fire rates aren't fast enough.

I'm far from a hardcore gamer and I had little trouble with the Warrior on TVH - I used the sheriffs badge and a purple rated standard TMP pistol and purple rated plasma/incendiary SMG to take it down - keeping the Crystalliks alive to pick off if I fell into Fight for Your Life mode.

I've only found 3 legendary weapons on 2 play throughs of the game, though I did kill Dukino's mum 4 times just to see what she dropped and got the Mongol launcher (which is the only one I use regularly).

Assault rifles weren't done quite as well in 2, whereas in the original Borderlands they were basically unstoppable.

I'd really like to know what you can buy with Seraph crystals...

.

Fair enough, maybe I went with the wrong weapons.

But I was pulling off 187K crit hits and it still took me that long.

Not sure about the seraph crystals. You get them from killing raid bosses yeah?

From memory it took me about 15 minutes the second time around - I think I may have died a couple of times but I put everything into my pistols which would basically mow down most things very quickly.

Indeed. See that shits me, as a huge fan of the game and someone who doesn't play online games very much I miss out on a large part of the game.

Yeah the nerfing of the assault rifles in this game was necessary but it went too far. I basically never used them.

Me too. You get a wicked assault rifle I think in the Torgue campaign from Moxxi which is the only one I've used so far.

Shotguns were crud in the first, they are boss for close range in 2 though.

Very true.

Ive had a 5918 X 16 that Ive used for about 8 levels.

This is what I found today on the Tiny Tina DLC:

And this the pistol and SMG that I used on the Warrior second time round:

Hey guys only just started venturing on these areas of the forums and enjoying reading alot of posts guys

I loved bl2 and even the story missions got me sucked in.
I bought a ps3 as my first console (besides wii) when borderlands 2 came out and it was a great introduction.

I played through as a commando class specced for 2 turrets.

GreenManGaming, you disappoint me. Season Pass 75% off but it only lasted 6 hours and it ended at 6am. Missed out unfortunately. Hopefully it goes back on sale on Steam or GMG.

Picked up this game for 400 microsoft points during the Xbox sales and it's a really good game. I love how easy the quests are to follow, i've often gotten lost of confused as to what questline i've been doing in Skyrim, but pretty straight forward in Borderlands2.

I think the only thing that i'm a bit iffy on are the weapons. Don't really get the opportunity to settle on a weapon as it seems like after every quest you pick up something else that's probably going to combat the enemies a bit more effectively, even though it's not something you're comfortable with.

I've actually only got 2 quests left (I've done all side quests as well) one is the 5 round challenge in Ore Chasm and the other is the final main story quest. I'm a level 32 Commando, was initially going to play as zer0, but i'm not the best with snipers in any game, but are fairly easy to use in Borderlands 2. Think i'll play as him in my next run through.

Man these Hyperion Slaughter quest where you have to complete 5 rounds is doing my head in. Up to Round 4 and can't get past it. fuark.

Things like that really highlight why co-op is necessary.

I did the 5 rounds of one of those things, but I'm pretty sure I had a bit of a level gap for the last couple rounds.

Yeah i just done a bit of co-op. Even with 4 players it was still difficult, even though 1 of the kids that joined kept complaining to go and do the storyline. Although probably better with people that are willing to co-ordinate. I think a nice little trick is when someone dies they can respawn back up where the ammo vending machine is and stay up there out of trouble.

Did you do the Round 5 one in Fink's Slaughterhouse? That one was easy enough, this one, hard as ****. Makes it harder when they are quick to take down my turrent.

I think the tricky part is that there is there is a mix of enemies when you hit Round 4, there are enemies that spawn with armour and you need a weapon that does shock damage to wipe it out, so there is a fair bit of switching back and forth between weapons.

I guess it depends on what kind of player you are. The big damage you get from it gives you massive critical hit stacks with Zer0. I was one-shotting pretty much anything with it.

True - though I do use a sniper a fair bit, I prefer the mayhem of close range fighting which you can get away with in Borderlands.

That can be a bit of a problem when I play other games.
