http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/...r-upgrade-pack-2-coming-to-borderlands-2.aspx
During Gearbox's panel at PAX Australia, the studio announced HD remakes of Homeworld and Homeworld 2 and more downloadable content coming to Borderlands 2.
The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 will add 11 new levels to the current cap, as well as the Digistruct Peak Challenge. It will also allow players to "over level" the game allowing motivated players to add more challenge to the game. No release date for the Upgrade Pack was announced, but Gearbox confirmed that it will cost $5, and is not part of the DLC season pass.
A free update is also planned for Borderlands 2 that will increase the amount of ammunition players can carry, add new bank slots, and inventory capacity. These upgrades will be purchasable using Eridium.
Also on the way is T.K Baha’s Bloody Harvest, a DLC throwback to the original Borderlands' The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned DLC. Among the only details revealed for T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest is that it will include a boss battle against the pumpkin creature, Jacques O’Lantern.
Gearbox says that these are not the final DLC announcements for Bordlerands 2, and players can expect one or two more content add-ons.

Sounds pretty cool!

What is ACMI?
Australian Centre for the Moving Image at Federation Square. My brother volunteers there and now I'm quite ticked off he didn't warn me about this Borderlands thing

Randy Pitchford told everyone to come and have a beer with him.

I wanted to get home and watch the Saints Port game.

Not sure what I was thinking.

Finally got this. Very good game as you all know. Only level 9 so very early on. I didn't get very far in the first one so I aim to do better with this one.

But man, I hate dying and having to trudge back to where I was. Or even worse starting a game and needing to get to a certain point to finish a quest and re-fight my way through dudes that took me ages to kill the first time. Is there an easy way around this other than running and hoping?

Not really. I actually don't find the checkpoints too bad, when you die. They are reasonably close together, it usually doesn't take too long to get back to where you were.

The fact you load your game at the nearest Fast Travel station is a bit annoying. You just sort of have to plan your gaming sessions to avoid having to replay the same sections. For a couple of missions it means that you have to put a serious chunk of time aside.

It only gets better. As you find varied and better weapons, and start to pimp out your skill tree and find different mods and 'nades, it can get very addictive

No way around this.

The worst part of the game are some of the long and tedious boss fights.

just try and not leave your game after you've trudged a fair bit, only after you've turned in a quest etc..

Trying to work out if my game is glitched or something. I haven't had any elemental guns at all apart from Fire and Explosive ones. Got my first Corrosive gun out of the gun chest as you are about to fight Wilhelm. Yet to get a Slag or Shock gun. Something up? FWIW, i just bought and downloaded the season pass as well as the Mechromancer add on which i'm currently playing now. Seems strange since i had them coming out of my ears in my Commando play through.

EDIT: Now that i think about it, i've actually had 1 or 2 shock pistols pop up as well as 1 or 2 corrosive grenade mods, but that's genuinely all i've seen so far and i'm level 18.

That's weird. Can't say for sure if its a glitch, but you should have seen plenty more.

Cheers mate, yeah it's annoying/bugging me because the game is getting a bit harder and i need some of the elemental weapons. Had a tough time doing that optional mission for Sir Hammerlock where you have to take down 4 Mutated Badass Varkid's.

Might have to start checking the gun vending machines for them or open my game up so the public can join, maybe that will fix it.

If you're on PS3 we can get online at the same time and I can give you a couple.

EDIT: Although I see you're only level 18 - my weapons might be a little too high level for you to use.

So i decided to dip into my pocket and buy the Season Pass as well as Mechromancer add on. Completed another run through and started doing some of the DLC. Done Tiny Tiny first up, enjoyable enough (yet to able to do the last boss bit), but i only just found out that the enemies are capped at level 30 in 3 of the other DLC's!? Why is that? Makes it kind of boring to be honest considering i'm now level 39 and the weapons aren't worth looting and am only getting 5xp at most per kill??? Is there a reason behind that?

I found having a high damage/high fire-rate pistol combined with the Sheriff's badge the most effective set up in the game.

Just reading back a few pages to find if anyone else was questioning the enemy leveling issues and thought i'd revisit this. And completely agree as well. I was still using a level 26 pistol at level 34-35 or so because the fire rate (around 17-18) and clip size (56 i think) made it carve through everything, even though the damage was only 700 or so. I prefered it over a pistol i had that had damage over 4,700 with a clip size of only 8. Actually any weapon with a shit fire rate i just got rid of to be honest and i completely moved away from assault rifles.

The DLCs are only capped at 30 (35 for Tiny Tina) if you are playing on the first playthrough. 'Regular mode' is not designed to be played by people who have already finished the game.

If you're level 39, you should be switching over to True Vault Hunter Mode, which means all the DLCs scale to your level.

Incidentally, a new DLC comes out next week. Increased level cap to 72, plus a new set of missions for Zombie TK Baha.

So you reckon i should switch to TVHM and do the DLC that way? The enemies will scale to my level then?

Alright cheers! Was unbelievably deflated when i seen the enemies with only lvl 30. :D Wasn't too keen on doing another playthrough with a different character just yet and thought i'd have to leave the DLC until i go around to that.
